A few months ago I received a "Twistband" in my Birchbox and when I did a little bit of research on it I realized that it was a hair tie, made in the USA. We all remember the days when it was so "cool" to have scrunchy's in every different color to match every different outfit. Style has evolved though and as Carrie Bradshaw once said "No self respecting woman would ever be caught dead in a scrunchy" or something to that effect. The scrunchy evolved into small elastic hair ties that if you're like me with thin hair cause breakage and headaches and unflattering dents when you pull your hair down. The Twistband is made from elastic trim and they claim to stretch and support any hairstyle without causing headaches, breakage or dents. After trying my free one from Birchbox, I fell in love. So I had to have a pack of my own! I was so excited when this came in my mail!
I have been wearing these everyday. I haven't had any breakage when pulling them out. As well as there hasn't been a dent in site. They are so comfortable. You can mix and match and make your own, they even have ones with charms on them. I chose the metallic set because I wanted them to fit in on my wrist as a "bracelet" when my hair was down so I would always have a tie on hand. I absolutely love this product and I plan to order some more sets!! The sets cost anywhere from $5 - $12 depending on what you choose. The ones I have are 3 for $10, now while I realize that is almost crazy for 3 hair ties, they really are little miracle workers!
These bracelets ship to US and Canada. Get yours here Twistbands!
Has anyone else tried these? Love it? Hate it?

I haven't heard of these before but they look pretty cool. I will def check it out- 10 bucks for 3 hair ties isn't that outrageous as long as they are good quality and you don't lose them!!
ReplyDeleteI am hosting a 150 follower BENEFIT COSMETICS giveaway, check it out!
I just love them to pieces :)
DeleteThe ones you got are so cute! I've seen this on my coworkers and kind of want them for myself but I only tie my hair up when I'm at home so I'm hesitant in buying them...

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome :)
DeleteI was just actually googling this - I think my 13 year old sister would crazy for them (and I wouldn't mind one or two myself lol) I am totally annoyed however by the price for a piece of elastic. I will probably end up purchasing a few anyway!

They're awesome!! I was super annoyed by the price too , until I put them in my hair. Truthfully I could probably make them myself , I'll need to look into this!
DeleteOkay, I'll admit that I still use a "scrunchy" to pull back my hair. But after reading this, I'm tossing those old things out! These Twistbands look pretty cool. I have five daughters so maybe they will all find a pack of Twistbands in their Christmas stockings this year :)
ReplyDeleteNew follower from the blog hop!
haha I won't tell if you won't! I may or may not have a couple still in my bathroom ;) Your daughters would go crazy for them!!
DeleteI received my first subscription box today! Totally worth it! I love them already! Check out my review! Littlemommak.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI really liked these too but they didn't last long for me! They started using elasticity and fraying after only a few wears. Did anyone else have this problem?

I've had mine since August and they have lasted, I also have extremely thin and short hair though so that could play a part!
