Julep June Mystery Box: Review and Swatches

June Julep Mystery Box

This is by far the best monthly subscription service I have ever been part of! Becoming a Julep Maven gives you exclusive access to great nail polish. Each month they hand-pick trendsetting new nail colors, cult faves and cutting-edge beauty products that are just right for you based on a style quiz that you take when you sign up. Commitment shy? No problem. you decide how often to receive your Julep Maven box, you can skip a month, gift it to a friend and you can cancel at any time! With this subscription every few months they release special "Mystery Boxes". When they announced they would be doing one for June I jumped on the opportunity immediately. Nail Polish is my addiction and the quality of Julep products is to die for! Julep says "The mystery box is the perfect way to meet new colors you may have not yet discovered. Every box includes at least $60 worth of Julep best sellers and could be up to a $200 value."

Inside The Julep June Mystery Box
JULEP DAYLIGHT DEFENSE SPF 15 LIP BALM - Nourish, hydrate, and protect your lips with this vanilla mint flavored lip balm. I'm a lip balm addict so I am super excited for this. VALUE: $6.00

JULEP FAST DRY TOP COATA quick-dry high shine finish that prevents yellowing and protects your nail color for longer lasting mani-pedis. This is my first time using this, and from what I can tell so far, it's worth every penny! VALUE: $14.00

JULEP NAIL COLOR "JANUARY"Retro, tomato red creme with a modern shine. This is the PERFECT red, I mean it. I can't wait to rock it for the Christmas season. It's very *Old Hollywood Glamour*. VALUE: $14.00

JULEP NAIL COLOR "AMY" - Smoky, turquoise creme. This is such a gorgeous color, once you get it on your nails you feel like a million bucks. It's oh so very tropical.  (Featured on the ELLE Magazine "It List"). VALUE: $14.00

JULEP NAIL COLOR "GAYLE"Regal, deep aubergine creme. Sophisticated yet playful. Looking for that perfect plum purple? Look no further. This was amazing after just one coat! VALUE: $14.00

Total Value of my box was $62.00 and I got it all for $19.99! They hit the nail on the head with me, all of these colors were perfect. It's as if they know me and hand picked exactly what I would love!

Gayle - I applied just one coat of this because it was that perfect and opaque and topped it with the Julep Fast Dry Top Coat and fell in love immediately. I've already put it on my toes!

Amy - Two coats of this and you are good to go! It's almost perfect even without a top coat but I added one for that extra shine and protection. This color makes me want to lie on the beach in Greece!

January - Oh how I just love this red, I have been searching for that perfect red for YEARS and believe me this is it. She's a gorgeous color and reminds me of Marilyn Monroe in an old Hollywood movie.

I am beyond happy with this mystery box!

  6. I got about three months worth and then cancelled - it just doesn't seem worth $20 as the color was a bit thin/low quality (merely my opinion). Though I LOVED that enzyme hand wash and still haven't had a chance to try the foot soak + callous remover. Excited instead for my GlossyBox :) You are definitely the queen of nails - love the acid wash tutorial :)

    1. I think "maybe" they changed their formula, don't quote me lol because I wanna say the last two months I have found the polishes to be thicker and more opaque but who knows! You just reminded me to go sign up for GlossyBox :) Thanks!!

  10. I'm fasinated with colorfully, decorated nails. Yours are beautiful! Unfortunately, this is one of those luxuries I rarely find time for myself. I'm lucky just to keep some clear polish on my nails for protection. I'm so horrible with this. lol Thanks for linking up to Wayback Wednesdays!

  11. I canceled my Julep subscription. I had too many subscriptions and it was the most expensive so it was the one to go. I miss it though. :(

  12. I just signed up for Julep and I LOVED my intro box! Now that you mention they release a mystery box every few months I'm all excited. My first box will be the November one so I can't wait to see the options they post. Maybe there will be another mystery box?!

I know $20 might be a little high but the polishes are so high-quality and with the skip feature I figure I can always take a break if need be. :) Of all the services I've looked at this one definitely has the most user-friendly features!
