| Apple Cider Vinegar As A Toner |
Hey girls! Welcome to the 2nd edition of "At Home Beauty Tuesday" if you missed the first, please go check out the DIY SUGAR SCRUB I had up last week, it smells divine! This week I have for you probably one of the best kept secrets in skin care. I don't know about everyone else, but I struggle for a long time, in search of the perfect toner and nothing quite worked the way it said it would. Finally, I asked my dermatologist if she had any recommendations and what she shared with me shocked me. I could actually use something from the grocery store and get pretty good results. I was intrigued so I tried it out, that was about 4 years ago and I have to say, no matter what, I still go through different toners from different brands but I always come back to this little gem. How amazing is it that you can use something as trivial as apple cider vinegar as a toner? Awesomesauce!
This can help improve your complexion, keep your skin feeling soft, fight off blackheads and breaks outs as well as restore your skins natural pH balance. Apple cider vinegar used as a toner has also been known to help with redness and blemishes on the skin. Here is my recipe for the apple cider vinegar toner. Please, enjoy and be amazed at the results.

| Apple Cider Vinegar Toner Recipe |
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR TONER
INGREDIENTS
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Water
- A bottle to keep it in
- Cotton Balls
DIRECTIONS
Use 1 part vinegar for every 2 parts water. I took an old toner bottle and I just mix it in there. I fill the bottle about 1/4 of the way with vinegar and the rest with tap water. Shake it like a Polaroid picture (I love the Black Eyed Peas) and then dispense onto cotton balls and work in an upward and outward motion on my face.
It's that easy! This DIY toner will leave your skin glowing after each use, it will help to lock in moisture and feel free to carry on with your regular skin care routine after use. I usually buy the vinegar from the supermarket to use for my facial toner because I use it for other things as well but if you're looking for something more organic you can check out Whole Foods and grab it there but I've found the same results with a cheap $1 bottle at Walmart.
**Other uses for Apple Cider Vinegar
- When mixed 1 part vinegar to 1 part water you can use it as a hair rinse.
- Drop 4 Tbsps into the bath for all over softness

ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I was thinking. Hey ya! I've been singing that song to my son his whole life after he gets done washing his hands, I tell him to shake it, shake it like a Polaroid picture~lol By the way I have been using this toner for a few months now and I love it!
DeleteI've been struggling with blemishes and break outs for the last 2 months. I used to have near perfect skin and then all of the sudden BAM! Break out!
ReplyDeleteThis morning, I was praying about some of the things going on in my life and I thought . . . what the heck? Might as well pray about my skin issue too. I intuitively received the words "Apple Cider Vinegar." And I saw myself using it as a toner.
Well, afterwards I wondered if there was any information online regarding the use of ACV as a toner. I only typed "ACV as" and google completed it for me, "a toner."
And sure as pie in the sky, I found this article! I'm looking forward to trying out this new skin regimen and I'm totally looking forward to your other posts. :)
