Hi Friend! New Here? You may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.
A few weeks back I included the Neutrogena Wave in the Skincare Series when I showed you all what cleansers I used. I wanted to give a more in depth review of this little find. It's one of my favorite parts of my skincare routine. I am probably in the same boat with a lot of you that just can't justify the money on big name brand cleansing brushes and to be quite honest, I agree with many of the Dermatologists who have the declared those bigger named cleansing products as unsanitary and generally not a healthy inclusion in your skincare routine. With the Neutrogena Wave you won't find a brush head, but you find disposable deep cleansing pads that you attach at each use to the little Wave device which vibrates once you use turn it on.
The Neutrogena Wave is a foaming cleanser that uses cleansing pads and gentle vibrations to deep clean your skin, remove dirt and oils. It's gentle enough to be used daily and leaves your skin softer and smoother after just one use. I use this one in the mornings before prepping my skin with the rest of my skincare routine and applying my makeup or at night if I haven't worn makeup all day. I don't like this for removing my makeup, even though it can be used for that as well, I would just rather remove makeup with a cleanser specific for makeup removal. I've had success with the the Wave, it's reasonably priced and can be found at most retail stores and drugstores as well as the reasonably priced disposable cleansing pads.
The foaming pads are easy to attach to the Neutrogena Wave and you just run it under a bit of warm water before using. It lathers up nicely and I find provides a good all-over clean. I use it on my face and neck and always am left feeling like it got the job done and extra refreshed.
Neutrogena says that the Wave will give you "noticeably softer skin after just one use" and I agree. The gentle vibration works as a nice little mini face massage as you cleanse. I recommend following this up with a good serum and moisturizer which I will be sharing in the upcoming weeks.
You can purchase the Neutrogena Wave for $11.49 at Walgreens and similarly priced at other drugstores and retail locations as well as $5.97 for the refill pack of 15.
Have you tried the Neutrogena Wave?

I have tried the wave.. The problem I have with it is it gets my arms all wet because the water leaks down-- and its kinda rough on my face for an everyday scrubber.
ReplyDeleteI definitely rock a towel so that doesn't happen lol!!

I am not in love with it either, I have combination skin and I feel like the cleanser is too harsh. I'd rather spend the $20 on a good face wash
ReplyDeleteIt's not harsh for me at all :)

I picked up a cleansing massager from the Rite Aid Store brand...it came with a little tube of renewal face wash & batteries and was $18. I've been using it for 4 days now and i am absolutely loving it. I wouldn't pay no $6 for 15 cleansing pads, that's pretty expensive i think..
ReplyDeleteI usually get them on sale so it doesn't bother me all that much, especially since I am not a huge fan of the brush heads, I just agree with most dermatologists that they are worse for your skin. I know the one at Rite Aid you mean though, it's cute!
