The Drugstore Series: Lip Gloss

So far in The Drugstore Series we have covered Mascara, Foundation and Lipstick so I thought it would be the perfect time to mention one of my favorite drugstore beauty on a budget products lip gloss. It's my opinion that the best lip gloss comes from the drugstore. They're filled with so many different options you can grab almost any color, usually I lean toward pink, red and nude lip gloss though. It just fits my everyday routine and the darker shades fit right in for a night out.

Lip gloss is a fun addition to your makeup routine, it lends itself beautifully to most lipsticks or some even work well on their own. I almost always add a gloss after applying lipstick for an extra pop of shine.

NYC Lip gloss City Proof in the color 'Everlasting Blossom' is one of my favorite lip glosses. It's most notable attribute is it's wear time, you can almost surely get a full 6-8 hours out of this without having to reapply. The iridescent shimmer in this gloss adds a beautiful shine to any nude or pink lip. It's a non-sticky formula and applies flawlessly. This lip gloss is available for $3.14 in most drugstores.

NYC Lip gloss Liquid Lipshine in the shade 'Brighton Beach Peach' is a beautiful nude peach toned gloss and another favorite of mine, I have a stockpile of this one because it's my most warn shade. I love applying it over a nude lip for a bit of shimmer. This lip gloss is available for $2.26 in most drugstores and retail stores.

NYC Lip gloss Liquid Lipshine in the color 'Nude York City' is one of my ultimate faves based on the name alone, it's so stinking cute! It's a nude shade with minimal shimmer and is a non-sticky formula that lends itself beautifully to an everyday look. This shade can be applied over a nude, pink or red lip but I love it most of coral shades, the colors just work so well together, you can get about 2-4 hours wear time out of this. Available for $2.26 in most drugstores and retail locations.

Loreal Lip gloss Color Juice in the shade 'Cherry On Top' is a gorgeous dark pink almost red gloss that I love wearing for a night out. I don't wear it daily because it tends to be on the stickier side but I have found if you blot it a bit with a makeup sponge that's a quick fix. I love the tube it comes in, it makes for easy application and little space for error. Available for $7.50 in most retail stores and drugstores.

Palladio Lip gloss in the shade 'Eleventh Gorgeous' comes from two of my favorite You Tuber's Tracy & Stephanie of Eleventh Gorgeous! When they first announced they were releasing this, I ran, yes ran to Sally's to pick it up and I've loved the gorgeous pink shimmery shade ever since. It was love at first application. No stickiness, no awful taste. It's just perfect. This was a limited addition in the name alone but you can still get the shade, only it's called "Gorgeous" now. Available for $3.59 in most Sally Beauty locations!
