I am always super interested in those “What’s In My Bag?”, “What’s In My Shower?” and so on type of posts. I don’t know what it is, I guess just getting a sneak peak into what products someone uses on a daily basis is super intriguing to me. When I was brainstorming post ideas I though this little Makeup Bag Confessional would be a fun way to show y’all the products that I keep in my (three) makeup bag and reach for daily. Some of it are things that I have had a long term relationship with and repurchase all the time, some is new that I am trying out and some are just must haves for any makeup bag and the brand could be interchangeable. So here we go, in no particular order.
Something that is brand new to me that I have only tried a few times but have been quite happy with is the Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous foundation, it goes on great and gives you a pretty good coverage. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer is a long time favorite and something that I always have on hand to give me a nice contour. A favorite liner for a nice cat eye look is this one from Ardency Inn. I don’t think I could live without my 2-Step Mascara from Covergirl, volume for days! If you need to brighten up your inner corner or waterline then you need this nude pencil from Rimmel, for sure. A favorite of mine that I have mentioned in my How To Contour posts is definitely the Maybelline Dream Lumi concealer in ‘Radiance’ it’s perfection in a bottle.
If you are currently living life without at least one Maybelline Color Tattoo in your stash you are seriously missing out, I have an obsession with the neutral shades. They make for the perfect primer or shadow. Lining my waterline with the L’Oreal Infallible Eye Liner is a must for me. As far as concealers go, I am obsessed with these two Maybelline products, the coverstick and the age rewind never steer me wrong! Wanting a little bit of dimension and the false lash look, grab this L’Oreal Butterfly Mascara and you won’t be disappointed! Another great product for a good highlight is the L’Oreal Magic Lumi concealer stick!
Go ahead and grab Tarte’s Park Avenue Princess bronzer & feel free to thank me later! My pores tend to look crazy large so one of the products I use to combat that is Too Faced Primed & Poreless and I find that it really gives me a smooth canvas to work with, yes I called my face a canvas… go with it. I use a knock off version of Benefit’s High Beam that someone sent me from the UK but it’s pretty much a perfect dupe and I love it. Another mascara that I absolutely could not live without is They’re Real from Benefit, I am a mascara maniac and use like three at once.
If you want to know my favorite way to highlight and contour (read this post) and buy these Maybelline Fit Me sticks and you will be forever changed! Another mascara must? (told you, I am a maniac) is Too Faced Better Than Sex (for those of you wondering, yes) is the bomb dot com. Watt’s Up from Benefit is the perfect highlighter for a natural makeup look, I usually set it with Mary Loumanizer and that’s all on top of one of my favorite-in-the-history-of-ever primers which is Magic Lumi from L’Oreal.
An awesome translucent powder to just set an entire look in place is the NYC Smooth Skin, it’s messy but I am in love and it lasts forever. I’m a huge lippies fan and I own probably thirty of the Revlon crayon like lip balms. If you’re not using a color tattoo as an eyeshadow primer, I love using Shadow Insurance from Too Faced to keep everything in place. Another powder highlighter that I am obsessed with (and profess my love for here) is Candlelight Glow from Too Faced, it’s amazing.
More Revlon lippies, of course. My Urban Decay Naked3 palette is my holy grail of eyeshadows (click here for swatches) and I use it daily. Another holy grail, for me, is the Nars blush in SuperOrgasm I just love the sparkle. I also love me some blush from MAC and that one is a limited edition in petal powder and I have a serious obsession with layering that with the Maybelline Master Hi-Lights. Maybelline Baby Skin is a super amazing product (see a review here) that you can use in combination with a primer and I use it as a sort of ‘spot treatment’ when my pores are looking absurdly large. I also love me some Color Whisper lipstick shades.
I randomnly found this NYC BB Creme and I have fallen completely in love with it, I use a beauty blender to apply and it gives me perfect coverage. The happy booster blush from Physician’s Formula has been a long time favorite for me, which leads me to another favorite the Sugar lip balm from Fresh is amazing.
