Too Faced Country Palette Review + Swatches

Grab your boots and sip on some sweet tea from your mason jar, ladies. This palette is everything. The Too Faced Country Palette is probably one of my favorites, it’s absolutely perfect for me. I am a lover of all things nude and classic. This palette embodies all of the things I look for in an eye shadow collection. Plus, as a huge country music fan and someone who should probably be living life in Nashville instead of New Jersey I just had to own it, after seeing it over on Phyrra’s site! She’s an enabler, y’all!

This palette consists of nine shades, they’re each separated into three categories with three shadows to each. Day, Classic, and Fashion make up the palette giving you a little guidance as to what shades will play well together. Nashville Nudes has some of the perfect nudes and little pops of color to complete it. I will say that the “pops of color” are more muted but that works for me because I tend to always reach for those shadows, I am not a bright shadow person. If you are, this might not be the palette for you however if like me you like the neutral look, this is right up your alley.

DOLLY  //  a super dark brown shadow with tons of pigment. This has been rocking it as a liner for me and I love it. I just run it along my lower lash line.

Y’ALL  // a gorgeous sheer nude with subtle hints of shimmer makes this the perfect all-over-lid color for me. And that name? I die. I am in love.

COWBOY TAKE ME AWAY //  a peach sheer shadow that would be great for your inner corner and highlight. I’ve even worn it on it’s own as an all over lid shade.

FAMOUS IN A SMALL TOWN  // another one with a name that I am ga-ga over! This shadow is white, but not Casper white it has a subtle gold sheen to it that makes it perfect for highlighting.

PAPER ROSES  //  you guys, I die. Gorgeous pinkish peachy shadow with gold shimmer. This is what I consider to be a rose gold shade and I am head over heals in love with it. Definitely my favorite of the palette. Hands down.

RHINESTONE  //  this plum shade is super pigmented and has a hint of brown to it. I’ve been loving this for liner as well.

BLUEBIRD  //  this blue shimmer with silver sparkle is the only shadow I wasn’t super impressed with. The fallout is crazy and the pigment just isn’t there. Applied on the lids it’s more of a periwinkle shade.

NASHVILLE  //  can you marry an eye shadow? Nashville is gorgeous! A grey-ish purple shade that applies perfectly.

ALL AMERICAN GIRL  // yes, yes, YES! This name is amazing as is the shade. A silver-ish white shade that plays up perfectly for a highlight.
