The Best Damn Foundation! Check out why this foundation is the best of my makeup bag in 2014!

I’m hanging out with some fabulous ladies who you will meet below for Makeup Wars and I am super excited to share the best damnnnnnn foundation ever created (ya know, in my humble opinion and all that) with you. I have a love affair with this Neutrogena Nourishing Longwear Makeup and you saw it in my Flawless Foundation routine as well as in my “No-Makeup” Makeup Routine. I originally thought I’d have an issue narrowing down my favorite foundation for the year to give you the best foundation but when I sat back and thought about it, it was totally easy because I’ve reached for this foundation more than any others and it’s actually the only one that I have repurchased. I figured that was saying enough on it’s own.

Neutrogena Longwear Makeup

One of the many reasons I love the Neutrogena Nourishing Long Wear foundation is because it’s a liquid foundation, which is what I usually reach for most often. I use a ton of BB Creams and even some cream foundations but nothing really stands up well enough to beat this one out, I love them too but this one takes the cake (but doesn’t cake on your face, woot!) and outshines the rest. The Best Damn Foundation

This bad boy gives you full coverage and lasts for up to 12 hours. I’ve gone 8 and it’s been flawless all the way through. There’s no fading and it’s humidity proof. It’s super creamy and applies like a dream. I am obsessed with the way it feels on my face, is that weird? Probably but who cares. It’s almost moisturizing when applied and really does nourish you skin. It completely evens out my face and 9 times out of 10 will cover all of my redness without concealer.

The Best Foundation

As far as how I apply, I always, always use a foundation brush to apply. I drip some out on the back of my hand and use the brush to apply. Right now I’m using my Real Techniques Foundation Brush and they go together just like peanut butter and jelly!

What’s your favorite foundation? Let me know in the comments and be sure to check out what the other ladies are loving!

  • Thank you for the review! I have heard good reviews about Neutrogena’s foundations and was about to purchase one! I didn’t know which one to go with, I am going to try this one! Much appreciated, thanks!! 🙂

  • I have the Neutrogena Shine Control, but haven’t tried this foundation. I’ll have to look for it on my next drugstore run. And BTW, welcome to Makeup Wars! 🙂

  • I did a mystery challenge and Neutrogena was one of the items to compare. I liked it a lot but I’m not sure which formula it was. I need to find out.

  • I loveeee this foundation but I can’t stand the bottle! I can never get enough out and I end up smacking the glass off of the back of my hand. It’s a great formula, though… so I do always rebuy.

  • You use a brush to apply liquid foundation? interesting. I did not really think you could do that

  • Yep, I use the pointed foundation brush from real techniques, it’s specifically for liquid foundation and to help build up coverage. You could also use a stippling brush with liquid foundation as well.

  • umm I use this one by Lancôme Teint Visionnaire Skin Correcting Duo which I absolutely love. I got it as a gift! I would have loved to try this foundation but unfortunately for me the shade range doesn’t extend to darker skin tones

  • Ok I am a sucker for posts like this.. I am totally going to buy this now. How do you find the colors are?? I cant do pink tones.. 😉

  • have you tried the Georgio Armani Luminous Silk, YSL fusion ink, tarte Amazonian clay, or for drugstore brand: Loreal Magic nude? They’re all amaze balls I’d like to try this one but I can’t even imagine a better foundation that the luminous silk! It’s like your skin but better. And I cannot use those pointed foundation brushes. My whole life changed the moment I realized I could use my angled buffer brush as a foundation brush for liquid…mind blown. Life improved.

  • Sweetie I was trying to read your comments but there is the horrible add that runs beside your blog that is just frustrating and a bit obnoxious…do you know this is happening? I can’t finish reading your comments because it’s so frustrating… and I didn’t move the curser over anything to make it happen. Just thought I would tell you in case you don’t know.

  • I’m always looking for an amazing foundation so I’ll definitely give this a try! But out of the foundations I’ve tried e.l.f.’s acne fighting foundation is THE BEST! Completely matte and full coverage. I have really bad acne scars and it completely covers them like magic. No joke. Only problem is I have yet to find a store that actually sells it. It’s only sold online. And the problem with that is shipping cost so that’s why I’m kinda looking for a substitute.

  • I normally use Smashbox foundation for any special event but this foundation has been my go to everyday work foundation for quite some time and I totally agree with you. I use less concealer with this than I do anything else and it doesn’t look like I’m wearing a mask on my face not too mention I think my skin without makeup has improved a little since switching to Neutrogena. My skin tends to be on the dryer side and this manages to stay smooth and not become flaky throughout the day. Two thumbs up for sure ❤

  • id love to try it but scared it will break me out! My skin is super sensitive and prone to break out , I normally use physicans formula , do you know how sensitive skin reacts to this foundation?
