DIY Strawberry Lemonade Lip Scrub

**I want y’all to give a big warm Hairspray and Highheels hello to Leticia from Cosmetics Aficionado. She is one of my very favorite bloggers and someone I am happy to call a friend! She’s got an awesome post to share with y’all today!

Lip scrubs are so much fun to make. I wish I knew that sooner. I was shopping in the produce section when it hit me, I should do a diy strawberry lemonade lip scrub!

I wanted to do something with a spring and summer flavor. The weather here in Washington has been beautiful lately, and it is making me yearn for outdoor picnics. I can drink my body weight in strawberry lemonade (yes, I gulped down that strawberry lemonade in the picture right after I took it), my favorite summer time drink. I luuuurve it so much! This was so quick to put together, and I had to fight my daughter for it. She loves the flavor as much as I do.

I actually didn’t have a hard time finding any of these items. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to even find any strawberry extract, but just about every grocery store here carries it. Everything else is pretty standard stuff, easily found at the store if you don’t already have it in your pantry.

To make this you will need:

Small mixing bowl

1/8 tsp McCormick Imitation Strawberry Extract

3/8 tsp McCormick Pure Lemon Extract

1 heaping tbsp Sugar

1 tsp Light Tasting Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Just add all of the ingredients to your bowl and mix it up. The strawberry extract is already colored, so there is no need to add any coloring to your lip scrub (though obviously you could if you wanted to do that). I didn’t make this very tangy, but if you wanted to you could add a drop or two of lemon juice to a spoonful just before applying to your lips if you prefer a tart flavor.

That’s it! Super easy and super delicious on your lips!
