As you are reading this I am far off in the woods somewhere camping, can you even imagine? Cross your fingers that I haven’t been eaten by any bears yet! I’d much rather be on a beach somewhere lying in the sun, so I’ve decided to share a recipe with y’all that would kick your summer into high gear. This weekend signifies the beginning of summer for a lot of us and I personally want to kick it off with something fabulous! I’m even making it at our campsite.
This is super delicious. Sweet + Tart + Refreshing. Each ingredients adds a little oomph that just makes so full of yum. I had blackberries in the pitcher while I mixed and I even muddled some at the bottom of each glass to give it a super fruity kick. We’ve chatted about my love of Captain Morgan before and I’m trying one of their newest flavors, Grapefruit. It made this cocktail everything I though it would be and more.
The fresh lemon juice and lemon slices give it just the right amount of tart matched with some lemon-lime soda. This is going to be the perfect punch for your bbq’s and summer soiree’s.

- 1 tbsp grenadine
- 1 handful of blackberries
- 9 oz Captain Morgan Grapefruit Rum
- 12 oz pineapple juice
- 7 oz lemon-lime soda
- 4 oz fresh lemon juice & a few slices
- 6 oz ruby red grapefruit juice
- Pour all ingredients into a pitcher and mix well with ice. Pour into a small glass and enjoy.
