You know I love me some wine. We’ve chatted about Ca’Momi wines before and they are some of my favorites. I’ve been trying out these three new wines and I took the Bianco Di Napa and used it to whip up a delicious white wine spritzer that I want to share with you all and a little info about some of their other wines. So before jumping into the recipes and a pretty awesome giveaway let’s chat a bit about the Bianco Di Napa.
A 2014 wine that is absolutely perfect for summer. Perfect for the patio or brunch by the pool and stands well in it’s own. Absolutely delicious. A pretty gold color will brighten any gathering and sweet aromas of pears. It’s a light-bodied wine offering apples, spiced poached pears, and delicate floral aromas lasting for days. Perfection for summer.
Ca’Momi Pinot Noir 2013 Napa Valley is a dazzling ruby red wine that I have fallen head over heels for. It delivers intense cherry, chocolate and warming spices with the power and presence to carry you through the entire evening. On the nose, tart cherries and cocoa mingle with savory aromas of damp earth and thyme. The palate pulls no punches, layering elegant Amarena cherry, white pepper and vanilla into every mouthful. Firm tannins provide structure and weight to the whole, while the subtle chocolate subtext lingers from start to finish.
Ca’Momi Chardonnay is the perfect balance between indulgence and refreshment. After a few minutes in your glass, delicate mandarin orange zest aromas open into plush pineapple and pears. On the palate, this wine is pire pleasure; decadent citrus cream poured over fresh pear crostata with a subtle hint of clove. Restrained oak provides a warm vanilla glow and softness, while the finely tuned acidity lifts and balances the richness all the way through the remarkable, lengthy finish. Creamy yet refreshing, pairs beautifully with a wide range of dishes, from fresh summer salads and seafood crudo to seared white meats and tropical desserts.
To say that I enjoyed these wines is a complete understatement. I love, love, love these wines. My favorite of the bunch is absolutely the Bianco Di Napa.
Since I was such a fan of the Bianco Di Napa it was only obvious that this would be the one I would pick to pair for my recipe. A sparkling, delicious and super refreshing white wine spritzer. It’s easy to whip up and you will just love it.
