So I originally went into this wanting to play a little game of Pass or Steal at the drugstore with all of the new things that came out. I figured, like most times when a bunch of new drugstore products come out that there would definitely be some to pass up on. So I bought a couple things and figured it was time to test them all out.
Drugstore brands are really stepping up their game. The products they’re coming out with are seriously blowing my mind. You name it, the drugstore is putting it out. They’re launching foundations, setting sprays, powders and lip products. So I’m testing them, so you don’t have to, so you can see if they’re really worth it.
First up, we’ve got Maybelline Masterfix Wear-Boosting Setting Spray. I’m completely obsessed. I didn’t have high hopes for this, the L’Oreal one that came out at the drugstore left me looking like play-doh and I just couldn’t deal. Well, this one surpassed my expectations. My favorite part is that it’s quick to dry, and it doesn’t leave your face feeling wet. It’s lightweight so you don’t feel it and it boosts the wear of your makeup and prevents it from melting off. So the final verdict, pass or steal? Steal the crap out of this. You want it right now.
Maybelline Masterfix Setting + Perfecting Loose Powder is out of this world fabulous. It reminds me A LOT of the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder. And coming from the drugstore, this is a-freaking-mazing. Maybelline’s FaceStudio Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Loose Powder is a micro-fine translucent powder that creates a soft focus effect as it sets makeup. I’ve been using this to set my undereyes and baking my face. I basically want to marry this powder. So the final verdict, pass or steal? Steal the crap out of this. You want it right now.
L’Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation. I have never tried a cushion foundation before so I was a little apprehensive. I wasn’t exactly sure what I was getting myself into but I figured I would give it a try. I used it exactly as the directions said, applicator and everything and I was impressed. If you’re follow me on snapchat (angejim) then you already know how much I like this foundation. It’s the perfect buildable coverage. You can take it from light to medium pretty easily and get a flawless finish. It’s stunning. It is their first liquid foundation in a cushion that provides a fresh, luminous look in just one tap. Using the puff applicator, tap makeup onto skin and layer for perfectly customizable coverage. So the final verdict, pass or steal? Steal the crap out of this. You want it right now.
Friends, these are bomb. The Covergirl Oh Sugar! Lip Balms are some of my new favorite lippies. They’re delicious, with a citrus and sugary taste. CoverGirl’s Colorlicious Oh Sugar! Lip Balm is a vitamin infused, moisturizing lip treatment that nourishes, protects and smooths lips. Grapeseed oil, avocado butter and vitamins C and E lock in moisture, keeping lips soft and smooth. So the final verdict, pass or steal? Steal the crap out of this. You want it right now.
