I have an awesome DIY for you ladies today! If there is one thing I hate, it’s spending money on things I can do myself at home. In the world of hair masks, I hate to spend money on a bottle or jar of one particular product because I don’t like my hair to get “used” to any one product for an extended period of time because I feel like it loses it’s purpose. So I researched a lot over the years and have found so many different “at-home” hair masks. That way, you just whip it up and use it once and the next time you can try something new with products that you have at your house instead of spending an obscene amount of money on something that may or may not even work for your hair. Today I am going to share three of my FAVORITE masks that I rotate throughout the month.
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 Tablespoon White Vinegar
- 1 Egg
- Mix well
- Apply generously to dry hair
- Let sit for 15-20 minutes
- Shampoo & Conditioner hair as normal
- 1 Banana
- 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
- 3 Spoonfuls of Mayonnaise
DIRECTIONS
- Mix well
- Apply to dry hair generously, concentrating on the root
- Leave mask on hair for 30 minutes
- Shampoo normally
- 8 Strawberries
- 2 Tablespoons of mayonnaise
- Blend well to form a cream
- Apply generously to wet hair
- Leave mask on for 15 minutes
- Shampoo as normal

Great ideas! I’ve done avocado hair masks before and still do. Just mash up an avocado add olive oil and mix it well, apply to hair let sit 20 mins and wash like
Normal. It adds moisture and texture which I love.

I make my own hot oil treatments changing out my favorite essential oils of the moment and using coconut oil from the kitchen. I don’t think I’ve ever done a diy hair mask though. I should try one of these out.
Awesome DIY! I love a good hair mask 🙂
Thanks for swapping buttons with me!
Ill definitely try the strawberry one. I use apple cider vinegar as a rinse once a week and i also use another diy recipe ( rosemary oil. Lavender oil. Basil oil. Burdick root and aloe vera gel for itchy scalp and to help promote hair growth). Second one was expensive but i like the wayy scalp feels after i use it
Interesting!! I’d never heard of fruit hair masks!
I love these types of recipes. Nothing better than finding beauty products right in your kitchen. Definitely want to try the strawberry one. Thanks for stopping by today (The Bargain Game), I’m already a follower, and look forward to more great tips.

Can these recipes be doubled and refrigerated, or will they spoil.
I haven’t tried to refrigerate them, I think they would spoil though.
Wow!! Superb tips
I tried the strawberry one and loved it! Have any suggestions on how to shrink your pores?
