Best Maybelline Products

Best Maybelline Products

If you’re a regular reader, you know my love for drugstore products knows no bounds. It’s a love obsession that grows daily. Some of my favorite brands have SO much to offer that I felt it necessary to start putting them all in one post as a way to bring back ‘The Drugstore Series‘ so we’re going to start with the best Maybelline products!

For me, the best Maybelline products are all things that I have on hand at all times and will always make their way into my makeup bag.

ONE| Maybelline Baby Lips || $2.99  – Seriously, I can’t tell you how much I love these things! I probably have 50, it’s not normal at all. They are super moisturizing, smell amazing, and just all around cute to look at. The Dr. Rescue’s soothe quickly with a hint of eucalyptus & cools sore lips with a touch of icy menthol. The Electro line is fun and bright! The oldies but goodie Baby Lips keep your lips moisturized for up to 8 hours and are amazing!

TWO| Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo  ||  $5.99 – I absolutely have a love affair going with these little gems. My favorite part is that they can completely replace MAC paint pots for ‘primer’ use. And, if you can replace a highend item with something from the drugstore then you can sign me right up for that! Not just that, they have bold, bright, and sexy colors that you can wear as cream shadow for a LITERAL eye popping look.

THREE| Maybelline Great Lash Mascara  ||  $3.99 – Not everyone will agree with me here & they’ll tell you this mascara is overrated but I don’t care. This pink and green tube has been a staple in my makeup bag from the very first day that I started wearing makeup, it was the first mascara I ever owned and I always, always, always go back to it!

FOUR| Maybelline Colossal Eyes Mascara  ||  $5.99 – Another great mascara from Maybelline is this one, if you’re looking for added volume this should be your go to. You get the illusion, well at least I do of wearing falsies without actually having to wear them.

FIVE| Maybelline Gel Eyeliner  ||  $7.99 – Cat eyes, waterlines, lower lash line? No problem, this gel liner that’s available in an amazing four different colors is just for you! I love it, I don’t think I have ‘hit pan’ on anything as much as I have this.

SIX| Maybelline Dream Fresh BB  ||  $7.59 – This is another one that people won’t agree with, but as far as the ‘drugstor’ BB creams go this one is absolutely the best of the best. I use it as a tinted moisturizer and wear it with little else because it gives me the right amount of coverage.

SEVEN| Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer  || $7.99 – I just love this concealer, it’ll cover anything that you put it up against. It’s very pigmented so you’ll find me using this to cover up wrinkles, dark circles and red spots around my nose.

EIGHT| Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer  ||  $2.99 – You know it wouldn’t be a list without some nail polish. They’re super affordable and go on great, I haven’t tried one that I haven’t been impressed with! For a drugstore polish, they’re amazing!

🔟 Creating this community has been one of my favorite things about life. What will you find here?! Easy beauty tips and tutorials, attainable fashion, endless Amazon finds, but also the UNCOMFORTABLE stuff: pap smears, depression, anxiety, the effects my husbands addiction had on our marriage, eating disorders, struggles with fertility, body acceptance, and being comfortable in your own skin. I try to keep it as real as humanly possible. Being so vulnerable all of the time isn’t the easiest thing but if it helps just one person feel less alone, I’m good! ⠀⁣

Loving an addict is one of if not the hardest thin Loving an addict is one of if not the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. ⁣
⁣
We’re about two hit two years since Jim entered rehab and I’m forever proud of the changes he made and the man he has become⁣
⁣
For the person reading this who loves an addict. It’s changed you, I know. It made you a little harder to reach. It made getting out a bed a little rough. It’s isolated you from groups of friends. Your hearts a little more closed off then it once was. Your trust is a little bit broken. You’ve felt more alone then you ever have. You’ve felt judged. You’ve felt betrayed. You’ve felt at fault.⁣
⁣
Whether you’re past it or still in the trenches. I want you to know some things. ⁣
⁣
I need you to know that it’s not your fault. I need you to know that you could not have done anything differently. I need you to know that you can’t cure it. You didn’t cause it. And you can’t control it. ⁣
⁣
Most of all I need you to know that it gets better. I need you to know that it’s ok to feel happiness again. It’s ok to put yourself first. It’s ok to take care of your. ⁣
⁣
And you’re not alone. ⁣
⁣
I promise you that there’s a light on this side of the tunnel just waiting for you to walk through. And that light doesn’t mean it’s over, it’s just there to guide you. Because every day could be a battle. ⁣
⁣
I stayed for the battle. But that’s not the only way. If you need to leave that’s okay too. Either way. You have to get to that light. ⁣
⁣
Don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Go to a meeting yourself. Grab a book (Co-Dependent No More, was helpful for me) listen to a podcast. Get yourself a village. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF⁣
