Winter Skincare Must Have Products

Winter Skincare

It’s official, it’s Fall. Which means Winter is not far off and the need to change up our routines and get in the habit of our winter skincare regimen is upon us. I switch up my skincare with the seasons, the biggest changes are made for Winter & Summer though. In the Winter my skin needs some extra TLC, extra moisture, redness reducers and some good exfoliation.

I usually have combination skin and in the Winter I find myself leaning towards the dry side of the spectrum so some of my favorite winter skincare must have products have to include that added boost of moisture that I need. I look for it in my moisturizers, serums and even my face masks.

1| Clearasil Daily Clear Superfruit Wash: $6.49 – I’ve told y’all about this product before when I reviewed the whole superfruit line & I haven’t stopped loving it. The smell alone, that’s enough to keep me coming back for more.  This is great to use in the morning when you first wake up as your face wash. It’s super gentle, and I have used it to scrub directly around my eyes with no irritation. It smells delicious, like you’re rubbing actual fruit on your face.

2| h2pro Eve Micro Sonic Care Cleansing Brush: $159.99 $89.98 {Awesome deal!} – My regular readers know that I am obsessed with this brush! It’s my holy grail and in my opinion the BEST Clarisonic dupe, not to mention uber affordable! The cleansing brush, it’s heaven! The micro-bristle brush ensures mild but deep cleansing. This was able to remove my full face of makeup in under two minutes once I ran it under tepid water and added a pea sized amount of a facial cleanser. Residue and imperfections left behind from makeup are completely taken care of due to the vibration and rotation of this brush. Continuous deep pore cleansing helps to maintain collagen.

3| Skyn Iceland Glacial Cleansing Cloths: $12.96 – I won these in a giveaway from the la la lovely Casey, over at Beauty 101 &&& boy am I glad I did. I am obsessed. They’re super gentle and one wipe (which is amazing bang for your buck) rids your face of all of the makeup you’re wearing and the debris from the day. Sometimes I get quite lazy after a long day or night and I just don’t feel like going through my whole routine, which is SO bad but I never have to worry because I just use on of these and I’m fresh and clean in no time.

4| The Gnarly Whale Green Tea Toner: $10 – This stuff is absolutely amazing! When you want to talk about toners, this should be your ‘go-to’. It’s completely vegan and 100% handmade so you don’t have to worry about harsh chemicals. Unlike most toners, this has no alcohol so you needn’t worry about it drying out your skin! Don’t forget to use the code ‘HAIRSPRAY20’ for 20% off your purchase from Gnarly Whale.

5| Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Mask: $21 (6CT) – I won a box of these in a twitter contest from Garnier & I have used 3 so far. They’re great, they leave your skin feeling super moisturized after about 10 minutes and aid in evening out your skin tone. Don’t be alarmed at the Hannibal Lector look-a-like you will surely see in the mirror when your put this mask on 😉

6| Skyn Iceland Hydro-Cool Firming Eye Gels: $18 – Don’t let the price tag scare you, these babies are so freaking awesome. Long night? Puffy eyes? No problem! Just place the eye gels on and let them go to work. After just 15 minutes your eyes are back to normal and your dark circles will be disappearing.

7| Lumene Vitamin C+ Dry Skin Comfort Radiance Cocktail: $9.50 – I am a packaging FREAK. Do you see those colors? This is super cool and I love it!! It’s perfect for winter skincare in that it has highly conditioning bioactive oil complex combining cranberry and cloudberry seed oils to help nourish and vitalize even the driest skin. It’s also, so pretttttty.

8| Skin & Co Eye Gel: $62 – This one is definitely a SCARY price tag, but totally worth it. I raved about it in my eye cream post last year and the feelings are still the same. It’s a Velvet Eye Contour Gel with Tightening Algae & Truffle Formula. It’s made with truffles!! How cool is that?

9| Aveeno Positively Radiant Night Cream: $16.95 – If you take nothing else from this post, add this moisturizer into your winter skincare routine because you will not be sorry. It works tremendously throughout the night so that when you wake up, you have extra moisture and your skin feels way less dry.

10| Montagne Jeunesse Deep Cleansing Passion Peel Off Mask: $2.49 – By far, this is one of my favorite peel off masks. It gives you a great cleansed feel and also adds some moisture. Doesn’t hurt that it smells great as well. It’s super affordable so I highly recommend stocking up and using this at least once a week through out the winter season!

11| Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel Cream: $6.79 – Whenever someone asks me what moisturizer I recommend, this is at the top of most of those lists. Being that it’s a gel base, it really absorbs quickly to give you extra moisture. I use it daily and I have seen a noticeable difference in my skin.

What is your FAVORITE product for your Winter skincare routine?

I have the world’s driest skin and it can look horribly flaky in the winter. Last winter, I started using coconut oil and it made a world of difference! I’m also going to look into the h2pro Eve Micro Sonic Care. That looks absolutely awesome!

Very nice post – I use a few of these items already….and love my Aveeno products. More moisturizer for my face is a must in the wintertime.

I have to moisturize so much in the winter! I swear every year my skin needs me to use a more intense cream so I should try the coconut oil!

I tried a toner a while back and it seemed to make a difference. The green tea toner sounds interesting, I’ll have to look for that.

I need to think more about winter skincare. It doesn’t get too cold here but I know my skin still takes a beating. Thank you for the great suggestions!

I find that during the winter I also lean more towards the dry end of things. Therefore items that moisturize are always on my list during the winter. Some good products on my list that I’ll be trying out 🙂

try Jason effects pure natural creme. It is he most moisturizing non greasy face cream I’ve ever used. I’m a freak about only using natural skin care and it can be hit or miss. I have super dry skin especially in the winter but i think it would work well for all skin types. It’s suppose to be anti aging but i’m only 23 and don’t need that but it minimizes my pores which can become enlarged when dry and lead to break outs. I just can’t stop preaching about this stuff. $15 and worth every penny.

Ohhhh, I’ll definitely add it to the list to try!!

More than a third (30,000) of the women intentionally killed in 2017 were killed by their current or former intimate partner ̶ someone they would normally expect to trust.⁣

🔟 Creating this community has been one of my favorite things about life. What will you find here?! Easy beauty tips and tutorials, attainable fashion, endless Amazon finds, but also the UNCOMFORTABLE stuff: pap smears, depression, anxiety, the effects my husbands addiction had on our marriage, eating disorders, struggles with fertility, body acceptance, and being comfortable in your own skin. I try to keep it as real as humanly possible. Being so vulnerable all of the time isn’t the easiest thing but if it helps just one person feel less alone, I’m good! ⠀⁣

Loving an addict is one of if not the hardest thin Loving an addict is one of if not the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. ⁣
⁣
We’re about two hit two years since Jim entered rehab and I’m forever proud of the changes he made and the man he has become⁣
⁣
For the person reading this who loves an addict. It’s changed you, I know. It made you a little harder to reach. It made getting out a bed a little rough. It’s isolated you from groups of friends. Your hearts a little more closed off then it once was. Your trust is a little bit broken. You’ve felt more alone then you ever have. You’ve felt judged. You’ve felt betrayed. You’ve felt at fault.⁣
⁣
Whether you’re past it or still in the trenches. I want you to know some things. ⁣
⁣
I need you to know that it’s not your fault. I need you to know that you could not have done anything differently. I need you to know that you can’t cure it. You didn’t cause it. And you can’t control it. ⁣
⁣
Most of all I need you to know that it gets better. I need you to know that it’s ok to feel happiness again. It’s ok to put yourself first. It’s ok to take care of your. ⁣
⁣
And you’re not alone. ⁣
⁣
I promise you that there’s a light on this side of the tunnel just waiting for you to walk through. And that light doesn’t mean it’s over, it’s just there to guide you. Because every day could be a battle. ⁣
⁣
I stayed for the battle. But that’s not the only way. If you need to leave that’s okay too. Either way. You have to get to that light. ⁣
⁣
Don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Go to a meeting yourself. Grab a book (Co-Dependent No More, was helpful for me) listen to a podcast. Get yourself a village. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF⁣
