Fun story, I hate foundation. Is that weird? I don’t know why I just feel like it takes me F-O-R-E-V-E-R to find one that works, does what it says and matches my very light skin tone. There’s a reason there are only six of the best foundations on my list and that’s because when it comes to them I am SUPER picky and I always, always go back to these guys depending on the situation. Whenever I try something new out I am almost instantly unimpressed and just swap out for one that I know is amazing, which is always one of the six we’re going to talk about today. As I write this I am actually trying out three different foundations and I’m hoping at least one of them can make it into the best pile and maybe this list can grow in a few months. For now though, the best foundations that work for this pale gal are right here on this list!
Stila Perfect & Correct Foundation • Stila • $44.00 – I love this because it’s super lightweight, offers buildable coverage and gives you a glowing look. This is perfect for all skin types. Perfect and Correct reads and reacts to the skin’s needs and targets skin imperfections to correct them. I can use this on the hottest day in the Summer and coldest day of Winter and get the same perfect results.
Wet n Wild CoverAll Cream Foundation Fair • Wet n Wild • $2.79 – This is a favorite because of the matte finish. Super lightweight & buildable as well. This offers medium to full coverage and really helps to cover up an blemishes. When I’m using this I know I don’t have to put concealer anywhere except for my under eye circles which need a bit more love because this does a fantastic job of covering everything. If nothing else this needed to be on the best foundation list because of price alone! HELLO fabulous & affordable!
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment Liquid Makeup SPF 18 Creamy Ivory 120 • Maybelline • $11.99 – I have a fan of this one from the very beginning! Instantly erases lines and wrinkles, masks blemishes and gives your skin a tight look. I haven’t found a shade in the lightest of colors that really works for me but I can mix two and get a pretty good match but the darker shades work awesome when I am spray tanning! This is fine for all skin types as well.
Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup • Revlon • $9.99 – This one is on my Makeup For Pale Skin list because it’s SO perfect for us lighter girls. I truly love this foundation and if I had to pick one forever, it’d most likely be this!! With buildable coverage and seamless blending, you are sure to cover flaws and perfect your skin’s tone and texture. No heavy cakey or greasy mess.
Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup Buff • Revlon • $13.79 – Buildable coverage from super light to full. It goes on super smooth and is extremely easy to blend. This has the longest wear time out of all of the foundations on this list. Feels ultra light when it’s on and great for all skin types.
Chanel VitaLumiere Aqua – $45 – Ok, so this is probably the most expensive foundation I have ever bought in my life and to be honest when I tried out the samples (the counter will send you home with a weeks worth!) I wanted to hate it because ZOMG. Unfortunately for my wallet, I fell in love. This is a cult favorite AND with good reason. Super light and goes on super smooth! The fluid formula has a soft, water-light texture, and comes in 10 shades that match perfectly to skin’s undertones, whether pink or beige.
WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE BEST FOUNDATION? DO WE SHARE A FAVORITE?
I’m a foundation ho so I can’t pick out a favorite easily but Armani Luminous Foundation is worth the steep price tag for me.
I am so obsessed with that Chanel foundation. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Marcia cracks me up so hard LMAO
Me toooooo!
LOL — you crack me up!! I need to try the Armani!!
Chanel Lumiere is one of MY favorite personal foundations 🙂
I’m going to get a sample of the Chanel. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect foundation!
That Chanel foundation is SO drool-worthy!
I haven´t found my fav foundation, yet and its probably because I don´t use foundation that often 😛
Great list. The Stila foundation sounds great.
I’m madly in love with Illuminare’s foundation. Incredible coverage and the finish is so natural.
Girllllll these are some great choices. I absolutely have tried every one of these and LOVE the choices. Nearly Naked is awesome, and you know CHANEL always has my heart. Although I am loving the Maybelline Age Rewind, and the matching concealer is BOMB.com… Great choices and amazing post as always!! xxo
I use to be in love with that Revlon whipped foundation!!
I love seeing your picks for the best foundations!
Great picks! I love trying new complexion products.
That Chanel foundation sounds and looks wonderful!
Great choices! I never tried the WnW, I’ll have to grab one!
I prefer a light coverage look. Right now, I’m hooked solid on Cover FX BB Gel. Dries super-fast, and has skincare ingredients for my oily skin.
I like the Wet n Wild Coverall but I’m not sure if there’s a shade that matches me well enough!
That Chanel foundation needs to be in my life ASAP
I want to try out the Chanel foundation line sometime! I’ve heard so much good stuff about them all, esp. the one you mentioned!
I prefer powder to liquids because of my oily skin.
I wanna try the new CG foundation. I really like Nearly Naked for summer!
I’ve tried that Revlon before and liked it too!
Oh man I’ve tried none of those. Probably because they didn’t have a color in my shade.
A great listing of awesome foundations. Good job!
All of these are great!
i love the chanel vitalumiere
If I ever use foundation – i would love to try the Revlon Whipped.
I’ve actually never tried the Chanel one. I know, I’m so behind the times!
I am always hoping one of the cheaper foundations people recommend will work for me, but unfortunately it is always Chanel for me too! It’s closer to $70 dollars in Macy’s if you know where I is $45 dollars please let me know!
I’m using Make Up Forever Face and Body foundation. Its very light but it blends really well with your skin. I think i wanna try the wet and wild foundation.
The Chanel foundation literally feels like nothing is on your face and it has good coverage. My skin is velvet soft from it! I agree with you on the price but nothing else compares!
Love your posts!
