I figured it was about time to jump into another Skincare 101 post! Since I entered the dirty thirties about a month ago I thought we’d chat about some of my favorite anti-aging products today! Don’t run away just yet all of you twenty somethings, it’s never to early to start the anti-aging process, promise!  The struggle can get real when you’re looking for the best anti-aging products because everything and it’s sister claims to do something miraculous. For me, the best anti-aging products are ones that are affordable, work well and actually do what they say they’re going to do. I feel like pairing these products with others in my skincare regime is what really makes a great anti-aging routine. If you’re new to skincare, be sure to check out Skincare for Beginners for some other product picks and tricks! You can also check out our tips to Clear Up Acne! If you’re looking for the best acne products check that post out as well!

Wow, lots of new products for me to try on this list. I used the regular Regenerist in the red jar for years, and I still think its an HG product. I’ll have to give the brightening version a go!

It’s hard for me to start thinking about anti aging at this age but prevention is key, I hear!

I used to think that over 40 meant buy all the anti-aging stuff! I’m realizing that some products are just too rich for my oily skin, so the breakouts negate the benefits. It’s important to know what kind of skin you have, and maybe to use a combination of products targeted in the right areas. I may need to use an acne control product in some places, and an anti-aging eye cream, or cream on my neck. Great list of products to explore, though! I love these kinds of posts.

Right now I’ve been gearing towards my anti-acne products over anti-aging so I’d say sunblock/sunscreen is my anti-aging tool for now!

  17. Kath TheFabZilla says

    July 24, 2014 at 1:54 am

Great suggestions. I love Jurlique products!!! A big portion of my skincare anti-aging “secret” are sunscreen, drinking lots of water, not smoking and drinking. Boring lifestyle but rewarding when it comes to health and youth preservation.

In 2019, Turkey had nearly 500 RECORDED femicides. ⁣

The Global Burden of Armed Violence 2014 database shows that between 2007 and 2012, on average, 60,000 women were killed violently around the world. ⁣
⁣
A total of 87,000 women were intentionally killed in 2017. More than half of them (58 per cent) ̶ 50,000 ̶ were killed by intimate partners or family members, meaning that 137 women across the world are killed by a member of their own family every day. More than a third (30,000) of the women intentionally killed in 2017 were killed by their current or former intimate partner ̶ someone they would normally expect to trust.⁣

#WomenSupportingWomen looks a lot like putting in work to actively combat and also recognize violence against women. It looks like voting for political figures who don’t want to take the rights of women away. It looks like donating to causes that actively fight for these women. ⁣

🔟 Creating this community has been one of my favorite things about life. What will you find here?! Easy beauty tips and tutorials, attainable fashion, endless Amazon finds, but also the UNCOMFORTABLE stuff: pap smears, depression, anxiety, the effects my husbands addiction had on our marriage, eating disorders, struggles with fertility, body acceptance, and being comfortable in your own skin. I try to keep it as real as humanly possible. Being so vulnerable all of the time isn’t the easiest thing but if it helps just one person feel less alone, I’m good! ⠀⁣

Loving an addict is one of if not the hardest thin Loving an addict is one of if not the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. ⁣
⁣
We’re about two hit two years since Jim entered rehab and I’m forever proud of the changes he made and the man he has become⁣
⁣
For the person reading this who loves an addict. It’s changed you, I know. It made you a little harder to reach. It made getting out a bed a little rough. It’s isolated you from groups of friends. Your hearts a little more closed off then it once was. Your trust is a little bit broken. You’ve felt more alone then you ever have. You’ve felt judged. You’ve felt betrayed. You’ve felt at fault.⁣
⁣
Whether you’re past it or still in the trenches. I want you to know some things. ⁣
⁣
I need you to know that it’s not your fault. I need you to know that you could not have done anything differently. I need you to know that you can’t cure it. You didn’t cause it. And you can’t control it. ⁣
⁣
Most of all I need you to know that it gets better. I need you to know that it’s ok to feel happiness again. It’s ok to put yourself first. It’s ok to take care of your. ⁣
⁣
And you’re not alone. ⁣
⁣
I promise you that there’s a light on this side of the tunnel just waiting for you to walk through. And that light doesn’t mean it’s over, it’s just there to guide you. Because every day could be a battle. ⁣
⁣
I stayed for the battle. But that’s not the only way. If you need to leave that’s okay too. Either way. You have to get to that light. ⁣
⁣
Don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Go to a meeting yourself. Grab a book (Co-Dependent No More, was helpful for me) listen to a podcast. Get yourself a village. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF⁣
