Dove Advanced Care Deodorant

September 4, 2014

I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Influence Central for Dove Advanced Care Deodorant. I received a promotional item to facilitate my review. #Sponsored #MC #SleevelessSummerSweeps

Dove Advanced Care Deodorant Review #Sponsored #MC #SleevelessSummerSweeps

Remember a few weeks back I told you that I would be trying out the new Dove Advanced Care Deodorant with NutriumMoisture? It keeps you dry and odor-free for 48-hours! I was excited to hear about their #SleevelessSummerSweeps so when I announced it for all of you I promised to come back and give my thoughts on this deodorant. The best part is, I got to gift one to a friend and she tried it too. I’m excited to share our results with y’all!

“Your clothes will always look better if you feel beautiful and confident in them. As a fashion stylist, I know that sleeveless can often feel scary and make women feel vulnerable or exposed; however the Dove Advanced Care product line provides softer, smoother underarms in just 3 days, so that all women can feel confident going sleeveless.” says Dove spokesperson, stylist Erin Walsh. She is absolutely right, as women we have so many insecurities and I know for me going sleeveless always proves to be a tad scary, since trying Dove I have the confidence I need to go sleeveless and rock any outfit.

I tried out the Dove Advanced Care Deodorant with NutriumMoisture in ‘sensitive’ and I gave my girlfriend the ‘revive’ to try. I’m gonna chat a little bit about her results now and then I will go ahead and share mine with y’all. Shannon has been trying it out for quite a bit and she noticed how smooth her underarms were almost immediately after the first few uses. She says it keeps her odor free even while working out and running around with her twins. She was surprised that she had zero white marks and still felt fresh at the end of the day, usually she’d need to reapply once or twice through out the day and with Dove she was pleased that she didn’t have to.  The pomegranate and lemon scent was her favorite. Dove Advanced Care Deodorant is clinically proven to reduce irritation from shaving and provides softer, smoother skin in just three days. As someone who suffers irritation after shaving, she was excited about this!

While Shannon tried ‘revive’, I went ahead and gave ‘sensitive’ a spin. I have to say the first thing I noticed even though it is ‘unscented’ it still has that fresh scent, from the time I applied and basically through out the entire day I could still smell the subtle fresh scent. I had zero irritation while using it and no white marks on dark tee’s. Like I said, it gave me the confidence I needed to go sleeveless, I wasn’t concerned with dry skin or un-fresh underarms. Again, I agree with Erin Walsh when she says “I’m not sure there are any dos and don’ts to wearing sleeveless. You can’t dictate style to someone. It’s really more about how the individual wears an item. Every fabric hangs differently and every silhouette fits differently. When you choose a sleeveless style, it should project confidence in your body stature and posture.” Anything that you wear, you want to project confidence from the inside out. A good deodorant is definitely a front runner to keep you confident all day long, for sure.

What do you think? Will you be trying out Dove Advanced Care for yourself?

🔟 Creating this community has been one of my favorite things about life. What will you find here?! Easy beauty tips and tutorials, attainable fashion, endless Amazon finds, but also the UNCOMFORTABLE stuff: pap smears, depression, anxiety, the effects my husbands addiction had on our marriage, eating disorders, struggles with fertility, body acceptance, and being comfortable in your own skin. I try to keep it as real as humanly possible. Being so vulnerable all of the time isn’t the easiest thing but if it helps just one person feel less alone, I’m good! ⠀⁣

Loving an addict is one of if not the hardest thin Loving an addict is one of if not the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. ⁣
⁣
We’re about two hit two years since Jim entered rehab and I’m forever proud of the changes he made and the man he has become⁣
⁣
For the person reading this who loves an addict. It’s changed you, I know. It made you a little harder to reach. It made getting out a bed a little rough. It’s isolated you from groups of friends. Your hearts a little more closed off then it once was. Your trust is a little bit broken. You’ve felt more alone then you ever have. You’ve felt judged. You’ve felt betrayed. You’ve felt at fault.⁣
⁣
Whether you’re past it or still in the trenches. I want you to know some things. ⁣
⁣
I need you to know that it’s not your fault. I need you to know that you could not have done anything differently. I need you to know that you can’t cure it. You didn’t cause it. And you can’t control it. ⁣
⁣
Most of all I need you to know that it gets better. I need you to know that it’s ok to feel happiness again. It’s ok to put yourself first. It’s ok to take care of your. ⁣
⁣
And you’re not alone. ⁣
⁣
I promise you that there’s a light on this side of the tunnel just waiting for you to walk through. And that light doesn’t mean it’s over, it’s just there to guide you. Because every day could be a battle. ⁣
⁣
I stayed for the battle. But that’s not the only way. If you need to leave that’s okay too. Either way. You have to get to that light. ⁣
⁣
Don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Go to a meeting yourself. Grab a book (Co-Dependent No More, was helpful for me) listen to a podcast. Get yourself a village. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF⁣
