Get Camera Ready With Olay Regenerist

November 24, 2014

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Olay. The opinions and text are all mine.

Can y’all believe we are almost through November? I surely cannot. November is always a bit crazy for me and work gets busier, the blog gets busier, and friends and family start having their holiday parties. Holiday parties are my favorite part of this season and we go to quite a few each year. Most of them are laid back and a bit casual but we do have one or two that are a bit on the fancier side and one in particular that we always take our annual holiday photo at. This photo becomes my desktop on my computer, gets framed for my husbands desk, and gets sent out on our “Happy New Year” cards each year. I absolutely want to make sure that I look and feel my best for these photos. In addition to getting enough sleep the night before, staying hydrated so my skin doesn’t rebel against me and picking out the perfect outfit, I also switch up my skincare routine.

Like I said, when I want to be absolutely positive that I will look my best for holiday photos I start changing up my skincare routine. We get this bitter cold weather starting early in November so I can almost pick out the day that my skin will start to get dry and as I mentioned this season is super busy for me so lack of sleep happens and I am prone to dark circles so a great skincare routine is key for me. I’m in my thirties now and I am definitely wanting to fight the signs of aging, I don’t want to look back on our holiday cards and be able to pin point wrinkles, dark circles, or dry skin from a mile away.

Getting into the holiday spirit for me has always included my beauty routine. Some may find that strange but I love finding new products that will help me feel comfortable for photos and look great too. I start reaching for darker lip shades, throw on some jewel tone sweaters and pull out the knee high boots, all important essentials for our holiday parties and photos. This year, in switching up my skincare routine I am using the Olay Regenerist line of products to help me achieve my version of a photo ready look for the holiday season.

The first step in my photo ready skincare routine is definitely cleanser. I really enjoy the Olay Regenerist Regenerating Cream Cleanser because it gently exfoliates to speed skin cells’ natural regeneration process. I get a deep cleanse from this and it leaves my skin super smooth. Like I mentioned, once the cold air hits my skin hits the dry side of the spectrum and that is never going to look cute in a photo. Since this cleanser gently exfoliates it’s helping me get rid of my dead and dry skin. I have really been loving this. The trouble spots for me that always show in photos and you can automatically see the dryness on are around my nose and forehead, since I began using this I have seen a noticeable difference and I am definitely less dry.

I really enjoy serums and I especially love using them in my eye area to prevent the signs of aging. Olay Regenerist Regenerating Eye Lifting Serum is my secret weapon to ensure I look and feel my best for my holiday parties and photos. This serum softens the appearance of crow’s feet in just 2 weeks and it instantly brightens my dark under eye area, which tends to show up even darker in photos.

Have you ever looked back at your holiday photos and thought to yourself “Wow, I look tired.”? I have and the reason for that tired look was most likely due to the fact that I was not taking care of my skin in the way that I should and I probably had yet to admit to myself that I was getting older and needed products to accommodate this time in my life. The Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is something that I have really been loving, it penetrates rapidly to deliver anti-aging ingredients deep into the skins surface. My skin has been brighter and within about two weeks of use I could see that my skin was noticeably firmer.

Of course, the night before any party I will want to be sure I am on point with my routine but it starts earlier too, in the weeks leading up to the parties and the holiday season I am constantly in prep mode. I am super vigil in my skincare routine and the Olay Regenerist Night Recovery Cream has been helping me while I sleep. The cream has given me intense moisture and my dry skin is becoming less and less noticeable. I’ve finally found something that has been saving my skin while I sleep, I lie to you not. I feel like it’s really soaking in while I sleep so when I wake up I have less to do in regards to getting ready because I am still super moisturized. I know that on party day I will be giving this product a huge high five for shortening the time it takes me to get ready and my husband will too.

Olay Regenerist has become an essential part of my skincare routine as I start to prep for holiday cards, parties and the Winter season. I have loved Olay for a long time and it’s only natural that as I have gotten older I have picked up products that relate to my lifestyle from this brand. It’s no surprise that this particular line of products is quickly becoming a favorite of mine that I reach for constantly. This is going to be so handy for holiday photos. I know that I will feel comfortable posing for the camera because these products are giving me the confidence I need to not only look my best but also feel my best and that’s the most important thing, you want to feel your best. If you’ve got holiday parties and photos coming up, you definitely want to get camera ready with these products!

Olay Regenerist is an important part of my get ready routine and helps me look and feel my best beautiful! Visit Olay.com for more information on their full line of products.

A total of 87,000 women were intentionally killed in 2017. More than half of them (58 per cent) ̶ 50,000 ̶ were killed by intimate partners or family members, meaning that 137 women across the world are killed by a member of their own family every day. More than a third (30,000) of the women intentionally killed in 2017 were killed by their current or former intimate partner ̶ someone they would normally expect to trust.⁣

🔟 Creating this community has been one of my favorite things about life. What will you find here?! Easy beauty tips and tutorials, attainable fashion, endless Amazon finds, but also the UNCOMFORTABLE stuff: pap smears, depression, anxiety, the effects my husbands addiction had on our marriage, eating disorders, struggles with fertility, body acceptance, and being comfortable in your own skin. I try to keep it as real as humanly possible. Being so vulnerable all of the time isn’t the easiest thing but if it helps just one person feel less alone, I’m good! ⠀⁣

Loving an addict is one of if not the hardest thin Loving an addict is one of if not the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. ⁣
⁣
We’re about two hit two years since Jim entered rehab and I’m forever proud of the changes he made and the man he has become⁣
⁣
For the person reading this who loves an addict. It’s changed you, I know. It made you a little harder to reach. It made getting out a bed a little rough. It’s isolated you from groups of friends. Your hearts a little more closed off then it once was. Your trust is a little bit broken. You’ve felt more alone then you ever have. You’ve felt judged. You’ve felt betrayed. You’ve felt at fault.⁣
⁣
Whether you’re past it or still in the trenches. I want you to know some things. ⁣
⁣
I need you to know that it’s not your fault. I need you to know that you could not have done anything differently. I need you to know that you can’t cure it. You didn’t cause it. And you can’t control it. ⁣
⁣
Most of all I need you to know that it gets better. I need you to know that it’s ok to feel happiness again. It’s ok to put yourself first. It’s ok to take care of your. ⁣
⁣
And you’re not alone. ⁣
⁣
I promise you that there’s a light on this side of the tunnel just waiting for you to walk through. And that light doesn’t mean it’s over, it’s just there to guide you. Because every day could be a battle. ⁣
⁣
I stayed for the battle. But that’s not the only way. If you need to leave that’s okay too. Either way. You have to get to that light. ⁣
⁣
Don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Go to a meeting yourself. Grab a book (Co-Dependent No More, was helpful for me) listen to a podcast. Get yourself a village. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF⁣
