Anyone noticing a trend? It’s like happy-hour all the time over here. I will not judge you if this excites you as much as it does me. Karly shared these Raspberry Mojitos and than I brought you these super festive Candy Cane Shooters. I figure since your holiday parties are definitely going to be awesome already, you will want to take them to the next level with the addition of these awesome drinks, right? I’ve been testing out different recipes for our holiday parties and this is definitely going to be our New Years Eve staple! Seriously, what could be better than rining in 2015 with a few happy cocktails? Margaritas are a fave and I am always trying to spruce them up a bit and this Cranberry Margarita is delish! I am obsessing over how much yum is in this glass.
I’m on a cranberry kick and if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. So for this recipe you are going to want to slice up some lime, grab some frozen cranberries and have your salt ready. Dip your glass into some lukewarm water and than rim your glass with salt by dipping it directly into a small bowl of salt. Add a lime and some cranberries to your glass with some ice.
In a shaker you’re going to combine your Peligroso Tequila (my favorite), cranberry juice (store bought), lime juice (freshly squeezed), and orange-flavored liquer (we used Triple Sec) over ice and shake. The Silver Tequila is a rich blend of agave flavor and enticing heat, Peligroso® Silver has a full body highlighted with subtle hints of spice, white pepper and lemongrass on the finish. It’s divine and honestly I could drink it on the rocks with a twist. It’s super smooth. This discovery is definitely a win for my future margaritas!
The lime garnish gives it a bit of flavor and really, in my opinion, is the perfect finishing touch for this fun cocktail. It’s fresh, delicious and absolutely refreshing. The flavors pair perfectly with the season. After you have shaken up all of your ingredients simply pour them in your glass, over ice and enjoy! It’s quick and easy.
Super delicious! You want to make your own, right? Check out the recipe below!
- 1 1/2 cups cranberry juice cocktail
- 3/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 3/4 cup Peligroso Silver tequila
- 1/2 cup orange-flavored liqueur, like Triple Sec
- ice cubes
- Mix all of your ingredients in a shaker. Serve over ice in salt-rimmed glasses, garnished with fresh cranberries and lime wedges.
