I can’t believe 2014 is about to be over. I just don’t know where the time has gone, I’ve been documenting my fitness journey and keeping up with all of the #NoExcuses workouts and I’m super excited for what’s planned for next year. I’ve had to really push myself the last few months and I’ve loved getting to try new good for you options. I am a huge snack addict so it’s super fun to find stuff that keeps me full so I don’t have to grab for unhealthy stuff. I’ve added some awesomeness into my menu plan recently with V8 Protein Shakes and Bars. I just had to tell you all about them.
These are little indulgences that you will need everyday. The new V8 Protein Shakes are awesome, the protein comes from Milk, Soy, Pea, Brown Rice, Quinoa. The veggies are from Sweet Potatoes and Carrots. And the sweeteners: Honey, Brown Rice Syrup, Sugar. DELICIOUS. Such a good for you option. They’re 12g Protein and 3g Fiber so these are perfect for me post-workout when I tend to get super hungry. I pop them in the fridge and I am good to go.
Let me just tell you all about these V8 Protein Bars, OH EM GEE! They are delicious and I have completely swapped out most of my regular breakfast bars for these new ones from V8. I picked up Oatmeal Raisin & Chocolate Peanut Butter and I can’t even pick a favorite, they’re both too good. These are the perfect good for you snack option if you’re like me and need something to snack on and actually keep you full. I’ve been having one for breakfast or in between meals to tide me over and they just fit. They’re the perfect size to throw in your purse too in case you get stuck out shopping this holiday season and want something to get you by.
You can have them on their own or together as a super yummy meal. These really are a good for you alternative that fits seamlessly into your menu plan and your life. I love them.
