Can we just sit around all day and make alllllllllllllllllllll the DIY Beauty Projects? Seriously, I am obsessed with making my own spa like treats at home. I LOVED my Oatmeal & Honey face mask so much that I decided to stick with the honey trend and bring you this amazing DIY Coconut & Honey Lip Scrub. It’s winter, so if you’re lips are getting more dry and chapped, you need this in your life, ASAP. It’s so moisturizing and so easy to make.
For ingredients, you need practically nothing. All that’s in this bad boy is honey, coconut oil, and sugar. These are probably all in your cabinet or pantry already so you won’t have to buy. If you haven’t tried oil pulling, and don’t have coconut oil on hand you can grab it at Walmart for under $7. It’s a steal.
Doesn’t the coconut oil look like a little heart? I didn’t even realize it scooped out in that shape until I started taking these photos. So stinking cute. So I basically grab a little bowl and mix the coconut oil and honey together first, if you find it’s too thick throw it in the microwave for about 5 seconds.
After I’ve mixed the coconut oil and honey, I pour in the sugar and add a teaspoon of luke warm water and mix it all up until it’s at a consistency that doesn’t make me cringe worthy. Not too watery and not too thick. It makes it super easy to use on your lips. It will also hold up in the fridge for about two weeks, so you will have enough to use it daily each night.
Super easy to make and keep! I am obsessed with it, not only is it super moisturizing but it tastes delicious! I may or may not have tasted a teeny tiny bit just for kicks.
