[…] Bubblegum Lip Scrub by Hairspray and High Heels […]
Oh look, another DIY Beauty project. I will not ask if you’re surprised because you’re not. I’m obsessed, I know. I just can’t stop and this one I am SO freaking excited to share with you. A DIY Bubblegum Lip Scrub; this might just be my favorite yet, even better than the DIY Red Wine Facial mask. I’ve used the Bubblegum Lip Scrub from Lush for years and years. Every time I use it, I want to eat it. I used so much of it just because the flavor was amazing and seriously that can get pretty pricey, right? So I figured to hunt down a way to make it happen for myself. I was browsing Amazon and came upon this little gem right here, bubblegum flavoring. YES. Fast Forward two day shipping later and I was already mixing this baby up.
It’s probably one of the easiest of the do-it-yourself beauty products that I’ve posted. It’s super easy to mix up and you can do it all in one bowl. You just need some sugar, olive oil, this bubblegum flavoring, and some pink food coloring if you’re so inclined.
Just toss it all in a small bowl and mix it together and you’re ready to go! this will keep for about two months as long as it’s at room temperature. I’d maybe get a little container that you can close to put it in. An old Altoids container would work like perfection.
Seriously, so freaking easy. You have no reason to not whip it up and go to town. And I promise I won’t judge if you lick it right off of your lips. SO good. Check out the recipe to get it done!
- 1 TBSP Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Olive Oil
- 2 drops of Bubblegum Flavoring
- 3 drops of Food Coloring (optional)
- Place all of your ingredients into a bowl in this order.
- Sugar, bubblegum flavor, food coloring, olive oil
- Mix & Enjoy!
Let me know if you make this one! I’d love to hear if you think it’s super yummy too!
so cute. i love that little bowl too
I just started using lip scrub this winter, and I am addicted! Love this super easy recipe…and one that I can do with my daughter!
This looks really cool….especially since I’ve been wearing a very drying lipstick. Those flavorings are cool too…..I bet there are lots of things you can do with those! (found you on Inspiration monday)
Every single recipe for homemade lip scrub I’ve seen prior to this has been made from coconut oil – which I can’t get a hold of. So glad to know you can do it with olive oil, too!!
Wow! Super cute DIY project! Great & wonderful photos! Have a great week!
