Sometimes I get so stressed out, to the point where I can feel it from my head to my toes. It’s pretty intense and not being the type of gal to drop $$$ at a spa I have come up with fun little DIY Spa Night rituals to catch up on some me time and really get my mind right. I have quite a few “essentials” that I always have to have on hand to make sure it’s just right. LUSH is somewhere that I always browse for little bath add-ins and more. So with Valentines day coming up I felt like trying their Valentine’s Day collection for this post made the most sense, dontcha think?
How does one have a DIY Spa Night, you ask? Well it’s super easy and these five steps will make it a perfect night! Grab the stuff yourself or send this post right on over to your significant other and have him or her pick out these products for you for a Valentines Day treat!
I always make sure that I have a good face mask on hand for a DIY Spa Night because it just makes it feel real to me. Is that so strange? I’m such an odd one. I mostly grab for this mask here, and I have never been steered wrong! It’s pretty obvious that I will be relaxing in a nice hot bath on spa night, so I make sure to have my night time tea body lotion on hand for when I’m done. It smells divine and gets me in the mood to go right to sleep, which I SO need as a chronic insomniac work-a-holic (which is probably why I’m so stressed & in need of these spa nights lol) maniac.
No bath is really complete without some LUSH products, I can promise you that. The Floating Flower Bath Bomb is amazing. You place it in your tub and this “multi-layered Bath Bomb floats away and slowly fizzes away, releasing a sensual jasmine fragrance.” I’m uber obsessed with it. The water gets this froth of all different colors from the layers in this bath bomb and it’s pretty fantastic. Not only will you feel super relaxed after using this but you will smell divine.
Bath Bomb not your thing? Have no fear because you could use this super awesome Bubble Bar that is shaped like a freaking unicorn horn, are you kidding me? Amazing. So cute, I almost didn’t want to use it, I just wanted to keep it on display forever and ever. A bath filled with “beautiful essential oils, colorful candy stars, sparkling glitter, rainbows and dreams.” Um, yes. Sign me right up for this magical bath of bubbles and glitter. Isn’t the prettiest? The pastel colors just call out to me and then the best part of all, your bath water turns PINK with glittery trails. I couldn’t get enough. “Lavender, ylang ylang and neroli create a unique and uplifting fragrance as you surround yourself with mounds of bubbles that will leave you feeling perfectly serene.” And perfectly magical.
Of course, what DIY spa night would be complete without a new and cute mani? You can run over here and check out the four manicures in our our Easy Nail Art for Beginners post or check out our Stay On Trend with Red nail post for a match for V-Day and get your mani on!
Alongside your masks, lotion, nail polish and LUSH goodies, grab some of your favorite magazines and you will be all set. If you don’t have a mask on hand, you can give our DIY Red Wine Facial mask a try to really get into the DIY spirit!
What LUSH goodies will you be trying out from the Valentines Day collection? Let me know your fave!
I love the idea of a DIY Spa Night. I try my best to get those in as often as possible, but sometimes it doesn’t happen. This VDay I’m definitely giving myself a break. I love Freeman masks because they’re affordable and work.
A SPA night sounds absolutely fantastic, and LUSH’s Valentine’s Day goodies are perfect for much-deserved pampering. That flower bomb smells divine!
This makes me want to make weekly spa nights part of my new year’s beauty regimen lol
I do DIY spa afternoons at least once a week. Seriously these Lush goodies are freakin’ cute!. Same here, I don’t wanna use ’em, lol!
My next spa night, I’ll be doing a mask while I watch the bubbles in the tub. Multi-tasking while relaxing sounds great!

I am in love with their The Kiss lip scrub it’s so adorable and yummy smelling. I also have been enjoying Cupid’s Love bar soap too.
LUSH is the best for the spa nights at home! I’m obsessed with the Unicorn Horn. I also love the Butterbear from the Christmas items! Actually, I like pretty much everything they make. We’ll just leave it at that!! The Freeman masks are SO great, and so inexpensive. I definitely am going to try the night time tea lotion. Sounds nice!
