Style-Smart Organization with SOFI

February 16, 2015

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of SOFIproducts.com for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

The new SOFI™ line offers an essential, style-smart organizational system designed to make spaces work the way you live. My husband and I live in a one bedroom apartment. The apartment has little to no natural light and more often than not feels like a cave instead of an apartment. Space is a hot commodity around here, I can’t tell you how many times I have literally been pulling my hair out trying to organize things and just had no where for them to go. I feel like the darkness in here makes it even worse, everything just feels tight. The new SOFI™ line offers an essential, style-smart organizational system designed to make spaces work the way you live. While I assume most people will use these systems in a large closet, we just don’t have one BUT when I saw all the different pieces I knew that I could place them in different parts of our home to keep everything stylish and organized. The whole organization system is available from Amazon so that makes it even better.

The new SOFI™ line offers an essential, style-smart organizational system designed to make spaces work the way you live. Above you can see how I used the Rax Bin and transformed it into a stylish magazine holder, it made my life so much easier. I absolutely love the angled sides and the shape of the bin. I didn’t just have piles of magazines lying around everywhere waiting for me to read. They all have a very stylish home now. I work from home and I have a corner desk in our living room area and I need so much extra space to hold all the overflow that just doesn’t look pretty sitting on my desk. I’m using the SOFI Brix Box, Small and SOFI Zipper Tote, Small for easy access for things I don’t need 24/7 access to but maybe don’t want to pull all the way down when I do need something. The new SOFI™ line offers an essential, style-smart organizational system designed to make spaces work the way you live. The Brix Bins fit perfectly into our cubed shelf and make it super easy to store all the things we need out here that we don’t want on display. The versatile Brix Box™ is easily accessible with pull-out handles and open tops. Zipper accents on the Zipper Tote™ allow for quick access. All SOFI™ Boxes, Bins and Totes are made from a minimum of 65% recycled content. Not sure where to start? The new SOFI™ line offers an essential, style-smart organizational system designed to make spaces work the way you live. So you can either reorganize your entire closet or find spaces in your home, like I did, that are a little less than organized and add some style + organization where you need it most. The versatile Brix Box™ is easily accessible with pull-out handles and open tops. SOFI products are offered in a variety of styles and can be found at Amazon.com with retail prices ranging from $9.99 to $29.99

  • You don’t need to sacrifice style when organizing your closet. SOFI offers stylistic touches that instantly transform your closet or home into your own chic boutique, including:
    • Simple and soft geometric forms with rounded corners
    • Gold fasteners and zipper accents
    • Woven handle materials reinforced with fashionable brass rivets
    • Stain-guard protected silken textured exterior coupled with a fun, geometric print interior
    • Sophisticated color palette of mocha exterior complimented with a lavender-grey interior.

If you’re wanting to re-imagine your closet space, Monica Friel, organizing expert and president of Chaos to Order, provides tips for organizing your closet space into your own chic boutique for spring fashion.

  1. Reimagine your closet as your personal chic boutique: Before you begin to organize, make sure you have cleverly-designed products to make your closet inspiring, vibrant and fun! The new line of SOFI™ home organizational products can help you makeover your closet. SOFI products feature stylistic touches like gold fasteners and zipper accents, geometric print interiors, in a sophisticated color palette to bring you inspiration every time you open your closet door.
  2. Now, Be a Style Editor: Go through your closet item by item. Eliminate what feels drab while gathering ideas for pieces you can add to update your existing clothing collection.
  3. Group Similar Items Together: The best way to know exactly what you have is to put like-items together. Use your style editor-eye to organize by type of clothing or style and then by color.
  4. Celebrate the Season: Keep the clothes you’re currently wearing accessible so that you don’t have to waste time searching for the things you need. For quick access to clothes and accessories, use a SOFI™ Brix Box™ with pull-out handles and open tops or a SOFI™ Zipper Tote™ for quick, front-panel access to clothes and accessories. And, take advantage of floor and shelf space in your closet with a SOFI™ Stax Shelf™that makes the most of existing vertical and horizontal space.
  5. Forget Last Season: Take time to get out-of-season clothes stored away. This will make your closet feel less cramped so you can easily see what you own before hitting the stores.
  6. Organization is not a Destination: Organization is an ongoing process that requires efficient systems, maintenance and the good old-fashioned discipline of putting things back in place. With Monica Friel’s tips, you’ll be on your way to having your own couture closet space!

Be sure to check back next week for a before and after peek at what I store in my SOFI Hex Box & SOFI products! Don’t miss it!

“The black and white photo challenge started as “The black and white photo challenge started as a way for women to raise their voice. To stand in solidarity with the women we have lost. To show that one day, it could be their picture plastered across news outlets with a black and white filter.” - @beelzeboobz⁣

In 2019, Turkey had nearly 500 RECORDED femicides. ⁣
⁣
The Global Burden of Armed Violence 2014 database shows that between 2007 and 2012, on average, 60,000 women were killed violently around the world. ⁣
⁣
A total of 87,000 women were intentionally killed in 2017. More than half of them (58 per cent) ̶ 50,000 ̶ were killed by intimate partners or family members, meaning that 137 women across the world are killed by a member of their own family every day. More than a third (30,000) of the women intentionally killed in 2017 were killed by their current or former intimate partner ̶ someone they would normally expect to trust.⁣
⁣
“Since the pandemic, violence against women especially domestic violence has intensified” @unwomen⁣
⁣
While the majority of homicide victims are men, women are the primary victims of intimate partner homicide, including homicide–suicide events.⁣

Drug dealers get longer sentences than rapists. ⁣

Breonna Taylor’s murderers still haven’t been arrested. ⁣
⁣
Globally, 1 in 3 women experience physical or sexual violence mostly by an intimate partner⁣
⁣
#WomenSupportingWomen looks a lot like putting in work to actively combat and also recognize violence against women. It looks like voting for political figures who don’t want to take the rights of women away. It looks like donating to causes that actively fight for these women. ⁣

So let’s #challengeaccepted that. ⁣

I absolutely wouldn’t tell a woman that her thighs were too big. Or that I hated her stretch marks. Or her belly stuck out too far. Or that her arms were fat. ⁣

So why the frick am I ok saying it to myself? Sometimes we all need a little reminder when we look in the mirrror...⁣

Wanna hear some random things about me?! ⁣ ⁣ 1 Wanna hear some random things about me?! ⁣
⁣
1️⃣ My hair has been over 50 different colors. Some of them all at the same time. It’s naturally blonde though⠀⁣
⠀⁣
2️⃣ I went to an all girls catholic high school and was asked not to take Spanish 3 because I talked too much 🤣⠀⁣
⠀⁣
3️⃣ I have two cats, a dog, and a husband that I’ve been with since I was 16 years old⠀⁣
⠀⁣
4️⃣ I’m a double ♊️ which means I’m talkative, fiercely loyal and endlessly curious. Paired with being an enneagram 8 and it probably also means I’m a little bit psycho 🤣⠀⁣
⠀⁣
5️⃣ I listen to murder podcasts to fall asleep.⠀⁣
⠀⁣
6️⃣ Playing with makeup is my happy place. ⠀⁣
⠀⁣
7️⃣ I love the hottest hot sauces that most people won’t even smell. ⠀⁣
⠀⁣
8️⃣ I recently became a plant mom and it escalated quickly⁣
⠀⁣
9️⃣ If I won the lottery I’d buy a tiny house in the middle of nowhere ⁣
⠀⁣
🔟 Creating this community has been one of my favorite things about life. What will you find here?! Easy beauty tips and tutorials, attainable fashion, endless Amazon finds, but also the UNCOMFORTABLE stuff: pap smears, depression, anxiety, the effects my husbands addiction had on our marriage, eating disorders, struggles with fertility, body acceptance, and being comfortable in your own skin. I try to keep it as real as humanly possible. Being so vulnerable all of the time isn’t the easiest thing but if it helps just one person feel less alone, I’m good! ⠀⁣
⁣
🌟 I’m so glad you’re here! I’d love to hear a fun fact about you!! 🌟 ⁣

Loving an addict is one of if not the hardest thin Loving an addict is one of if not the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. ⁣
⁣
We’re about two hit two years since Jim entered rehab and I’m forever proud of the changes he made and the man he has become⁣
⁣
For the person reading this who loves an addict. It’s changed you, I know. It made you a little harder to reach. It made getting out a bed a little rough. It’s isolated you from groups of friends. Your hearts a little more closed off then it once was. Your trust is a little bit broken. You’ve felt more alone then you ever have. You’ve felt judged. You’ve felt betrayed. You’ve felt at fault.⁣
⁣
Whether you’re past it or still in the trenches. I want you to know some things. ⁣
⁣
I need you to know that it’s not your fault. I need you to know that you could not have done anything differently. I need you to know that you can’t cure it. You didn’t cause it. And you can’t control it. ⁣
⁣
Most of all I need you to know that it gets better. I need you to know that it’s ok to feel happiness again. It’s ok to put yourself first. It’s ok to take care of your. ⁣
⁣
And you’re not alone. ⁣
⁣
I promise you that there’s a light on this side of the tunnel just waiting for you to walk through. And that light doesn’t mean it’s over, it’s just there to guide you. Because every day could be a battle. ⁣
⁣
I stayed for the battle. But that’s not the only way. If you need to leave that’s okay too. Either way. You have to get to that light. ⁣
⁣
Don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Go to a meeting yourself. Grab a book (Co-Dependent No More, was helpful for me) listen to a podcast. Get yourself a village. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF⁣
⁣
