Wind Blown Waves || Hair Tutorial

How often have you heard the phrase “Blondes have more fun!”? Well I am here to tell you that you can have just as much fun and you don’t even have to be blonde. I’ve been trying out the new John Frieda® Beach Blonde™ Collection and loving it. Not a blonde? Totally fine, women of any hair color can use the Shampoo, Conditioner, and Sea Salt Spray to achieve the beachy hair style they are craving. I’ve been loving the wind blown waves look, because it’s almost completely effortless. The hairstyle starts by using the John Frieda® Beach Blonde™ Cool Dip Purifying Shampoo and Smooth Seas Detangling Conditioner, I love the names!

The shampoo and conditioner nourishes your hair while adding in some texture, it’s like a mini prep session getting your hair ready for the style. The shampoo gets your the texturized volume that you need while the conditioner detangles your hair leaving it soft and touchable without removing any of the texture. The scent is fresh and minty and you will love it.

My hair tends to need a little bit of help in the wave/curl department. And I like it to have a volumized full look so I opt for hot rollers to give me some added bounce and wave. The wind blown waves hair style is super easy to create.

STEP ONE

  • Once your curlers heat up and your put them in, just follow your specific rollers instructions but I roll towards my face with the hair on top. Spritz the John Frieda® Beach Blonde™ Sea Waves™ Sea Salt Spray all over.

STEP TWO

  • This is basically a waiting game to get the desire level of curl, since we are going for the wind blown waves look we’ll wait about 10 minutes and then release the curls.

STEP THREE

  • Let each curl lay wherever it falls and pick up small sections and spritz some more John Frieda® Beach Blonde™ Sea Waves™ Sea Salt Spray onto your roots. You can shake your head upside or run your fingers through it a bit. And you can either stop here or kick it up a notch and add a fun beachy headband to complete your style. I tucked pieces away in the headband and just let it fall, giving that true wind blown waves illusion.

John Frieda® Beach Blonde™ Sea Waves™ Sea Salt Spray is the perfect companion for this style and it also has a fantastic coconut scent that leaves you wanting more. It add just the right amount of texture to give you that flawless effortless style.

I never thought to use hot curlers to get the wavy look! I’ve been using Beach blonde for the last few weeks, and Loving the results. I am going to have to pull out my curlers now and try this method! I love the look! #client

I’ve always been a big fan of John Freida — his Sheer Blonde system does help lighten my hair/highlights and now I’m into his root booster which is amazing. My hair is stick straight so I’m curious if salt spray would work at all?
