As you’re reading this, I’m packing up and heading to NYC for the week. The main reason that I’ll be in the city is because The Makeup Show is happening one May 1st and 2nd. The Makeup Show is a beauty event open to those individuals and companies involved in the makeup artist and beauty industries. Makeup artists, retail artists, aestheticians, cosmetologists, hairstylists, fashion stylists, buyers, agents and photographers, models, costume and theater designers, face and body painters, etc…
The Makeup Show continues its commitment to the makeup pro by bringing together your favorite brands and resources as well as some of the biggest names in the beauty industry. Be a part of the celebration with beauty pros from all over the world as we all gather in NYC, the center of beauty and fashion, for our biggest makeup industry event yet. I’m really excited to attend and I am definitely excited to see what the brands have to offer this year on top of some of the awesome speakers and workshops. I wanted to go ahead and give you a sneak peek of some of the brands who will there.
A few brands making an appearance are Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Kat Von D, Alcone and Mustaev. This brings joy to me because they’re brands that I am already obsessing over. Some of my faves come straight from brands who will be in attendance at The Makeup Show.
Smashbox will be there, this is a gloss they have in collaboration with James Vincent. It’s the perfect shimmery nude, I die for it. So gorgeous.
Crown, of course, is a fave for me. These Studio Glam Shadow Sticks are super long wearing and come in a variety of shades. There is absolutely something for everyone. That blue is just calling my name.
If you’re following me on Snapchat you’ve seen a lot of this already and I am absolutely loving this oil booster from Alcone. It’s making my skin feel super soft, my makeup goes on flawlessly.
Kat Von D, is amazing as always, the Shade & Light Contour Quad in plum. It’s gorgeous and simply just stunning. These are the first eyeshadow palettes designed to transform your eyes through the art of color contouring. So much fun.
If you want to head to The Makeup Show, check it out here. And be sure to let me know if you’ll be there! Check back once the show is finished and I’ll have a nice recap for you!
