I’m sharing #MyOliaStory as part of a Garnier sponsored series for Socialstars™
I always wonder what other people do when they’re feeling down or not at their most confident. I’m usually a pretty upbeat person and try not to let a lot of things get to me. However, I’m human and sometimes I’m just not feeling it. I want to curl up on the couch and hide from the world. I try to come up with things to do to make myself feel better, put some pep in my step and regain that confidence. I thought it would be fun to share that list with you all.
[title maintitle=”8 THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU’RE FEELING BLUE” subtitle=””]
LIGHT SOME CANDLES & DIFFUSE SOME OIL // This is what I do first. I grab some of my very favorite scents and just make the environment around me more soothing to my soul. Which inevitably betters my mood 9 times out of 10. A little deep breathing never hurt anyone either.
TAKE A BATH // This almost always has the ability to better my mood. Just getting away from everything for awhile and taking a nice warm bath. Throw in a bath bomb or a bubble bar and get some much-needed relaxation.
BREW SOME TEA // Sleepy time tea, anyone? This will instantly calm me down if I’m anxious so if I’m ever not feeling great about myself. I will definitely grab some tea.
PAMPER, PAMPER, PAMPER // I definitely pamper myself a lot when I’m not feeling like myself. A simple face mask can really change your whole attitude if you ask me.
DYE YOUR HAIR // If you know me, even a little bit, it’s not hard to figure out that I absolutely love changing up hair. It’s one of my absolute favorite things to do to give myself a confidence booster.
I’ve been telling #MyOliaStory with Garnier so this list absolutely would not be complete without a shout-out to one of my biggest confidence boosters. It’s the healthy hair dye, and keeps my hair looking super fresh!
PAINT YOUR NAILS // I’ve always said that a new manicure basically makes me feel like a new woman. Paint those nails and go out and conquer the world.
GO GET A BLOW-OUT // Back to the hair, go get a quick blow-out. You’ll feel like a whole new person, I promise.
GET DRESSED & DO YOUR MAKEUP // Get all dolled up, call your girlfriend and go out for a bite to eat. Simply leaving the house and reconnecting with friends can really do wonders for your confidence.
What do you do when you’re feeling a little blue?
