I share some pretty fabulous skincare all throughout the year, but pretty regularly people ask for favorites. You know, that can’t live without, ride or die product that you always go back to. Jaclyn Hill created the Ride or Die Makeup challenge last year and I’ve been working on mine for a few months and I’m not ready to go live with it yet but I am ready with skincare. I wanted to get this up before I share any of the new products I’m testing out this year with you. I’m lucky enough to be able to test out multiple products on the reg. So while maybe a year from now this list could slightly differ, I wanted to share what I’m obsessed with currently. My ride or die skincare products. These are all products that have never let me down, things that I almost always go back and reach for when I need to get my skincare routine on point.
MY SKIN TYPE: NORMAL/DRY DEPENDING ON THE TIME OF YEAR.
RIDE OR DIE SKINCARE: TONERS
Nourish Organic Refreshing & Balancing Face Toner: Usually, with dry skin, I would tend to shy away from toners because of how drying they would be. This balancing toner doesn’t dry me out, it’s a combination of rosewater and witch hazel that soothes and balances skin.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe, Herb, and Rosewater: This is one of my favorite facials sprays that I sometimes use in place of a toner. The rosewater does a really good job of soothing my skin and allowing me to feel a bit more hydrated. Spray your day and night creams for a boost of hydration or use it to set make-up or spray on dry hair throughout the day.
RIDE OR DIE SKINCARE: CLEANSERS
Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser: This cleanser is super affordable, which is a big bonus when it comes to skincare these days. I struggle with blackheads and just overall pretty congested skin and this has really worked well to clear me up. It draws out and traps 2x more dirt and impurities than a basic cleanser for deeply cleaned, tingly smooth skin.
Michael Todd Charcoal Deep Pore Gel Cleanser: I really enjoy charcoal products and adding them to my skincare routine has really helped work on my skin. This cleanser has activated charcoal which helps to lift and remove excess dirt and oil. Improving any impurities, while promoting balance for an improved look in clarity and health of the complexion. (This product is no longer available)
Tarte FRXXXTION Stick Exfoliating Cleanser: This is a new to me product that became a fast favorite because of how convenient and easy it is to use. A twist-up, three-in-one facial cleansing stick. It’s ideal for unclogging pores, if you’re extra oily, and/or uneven texture and dullness. I like that you can use it for a click cleanse, to remove makeup, or you can rub it into your skin and leave it on for a bit and treat it as a mask.
RIDE OR DIE SKINCARE: MAKEUP REMOVERS
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil: This is a long time favorite that I will probably never shy away from. This is one of those products that if they stopped making it I would be genuinely upset. This removes even the strongest of waterproof makeup better than anything I have ever used.
Urban Decay Melt Down Makeup Remover: Stubborn eye makeup? This will be your ride or die. This stuff can take down their longest-lasting products, and it’s also good for your skin too. This creamy gel is non-greasy so you don’t have to wash off any residue after you use it, and the light fragrance is uplifting but never obtrusive.
Beautycounter Cleansing Balm: Cleansing Balm melts into your skin to hydrate while it cleanses, removing makeup and other impurities but never stripping away moisture. I really love how this leaves my skin feeling. No gross residue and super moisturized.
RIDE OR DIE SKINCARE: EXFOLIATORS
Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant: is a revolutionary formula designed to mimic the transformative brightening, smoothing effects of the popular in-office microdermabrasion treatment at home. This will leave your skin feeling like brand new.

Daily detox for all skin types. Clarins’ spa-fresh One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser, polishes away make-up, embedded impurities and spent surface cells to reveal glowing skin beneath. Orange extract softens, refreshes and renews radiance.
Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub with Dead Sea Salt: You can use this on wet or dry skin and it will singlehandedly get rid of the top layer of your skin basically. Leaving your face feeling silky smooth and without any dryness or flakes. I especially love to use this in the dead of winter when my skin is at it’s dryest.
RIDE OR DIE SKINCARE: RETINOLS
Algenist Retinol Firming & Lifting Serum: This one is a bit pricey but in my opinion, it’s totally worth it. Especially if you’re in your thirties like me. There’s no time like the present to start worrying about wrinkles and skin elasticity. A dual-action serum formulated with patented alguronic acid and retinol to support anti-aging for a firmer-looking complexion.
Skin Laundry Wrinkle Release Repair Treatment with Retinol: This treatment and nighttime moisturizer combines retinol with soothing botanicals to gently yet effectively help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and even out skin tone and texture for firmer, brighter, younger-looking skin.

Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Eye-Brightening Concentrate: This effective line-reducing eye treatment by Kiehl’s brings you bright, younger-looking eyes. It contains a potent concentration of pure vitamin C 10.5%, known for its affinity with skin and powerful ability to improve the appearance of aging. It also contains haloxyl, which strengthens, soothes and brightens the eye area, helping to eliminate dark circles.

Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque: I was raving about this on Instagram the other day. This protective facial mask defends and replenishes skin to help reduce the visible effects of pollution.
Dr. Brandt Oxygen Facial Flash Recovery Mask: This luminizing mask helps lessen the look of fatigued skin. It works to provide tired, dull, lackluster skin with a revitalized, illuminated, and re-energized appearance. It also helps smooth the signs of fine lines.
