There are so many products out there that end up being so hyped up on the internet. They turn into immediate cult favorites and I often wonder to myself “Is It Worth The Hype?”, like actually worth it so that I go out and spend money on it. From high-end to drugstore, I wanted to start this little series where we jump into specific products, get to know a little bit more about them and see if they really are worth the hype! We’re gonna start with the L’Oreal Pro Glow Concealer.
L’Oreal describes this as a 16HR glowing coverage, lightweight, & radiant formula. You can conceal, correct, and highlight with this concealer. One of the first things I noticed about this concealer is that it really, truly is lightweight. Usually, with concealers, you could end up with something a little heavy to give you that full coverage to conceal with, that’s not the case here, you actually get full, glowing, radiant coverage because it’s lightweight and blendable.
I really enjoy how radiant this concealer is, whenever I use it under my eyes I feel like I always look so much more awake than I do with most any other concealer. I will even go as far as to say that this is almost the perfect dupe for NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer. I’ve worn them both at the same time on half of my face and I truly haven’t noticed a difference.
It’s definitely long-wearing, I can’t speak to it lasting the full claim time of 16 hours because I’m never wearing makeup that long. But I have worn this in multiple situations, a few times for 8+ hours so it definitely wears well. It never feels heavy, it doesn’t settle into creases or my fine lines.
One of the cons I had seen about this floating around the internet was that it didn’t necessarily blend well. I didn’t have the issue, I use a damp Beauty Blender and it blends just fine for me. It doesn’t dry quickly, so I can apply it to everywhere I need it to be and then go in with the sponge.
One of my favorite ways to wear this concealer actually is on its own, sans foundation. I follow one of Desi Perkins youtube tutorials here, and I use only this concealer.
Each of the above looks is sans foundation and just using this concealer for coverage, which is a huge win for me because I am super red. I never thought I would see the day when I could without foundation but here we are. I love the look and finish I get with this. Like I said earlier, it’s basically a dupe for NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. So the fact that you can grab this at the drugstore is super appealing to me.
If you’re looking for a new favorite concealer, I can confirm for you, the L’Oreal Pro Glow concealer is definitely worth the hype!! Go get you some.
