But seriously, a @beautyblender is meant to be used wet. It should double in size. The one on the right is wet, but it started out the same as the one on the left. ⠀

Why? For one, a wet/damp beauty blender prevents all of you’re product from getting soaked up inside of it. When it’s wet, it swells so your makeup doesn’t absorb as much. Your application will also be way more flawless and not streaky. Imagine doing your dishes with a dry sponge, not gonna work, right? When it’s wet, it’s distributing the product perfectly as you bounce it into the skin. ⠀

This was my “if you could make it through that year, you can make it through anything” year. I can confidently say it broke me. ⠀

Sometimes I hid it and sometimes I shared it. But it was hard. There were more days then I’d like to admit when i didn’t believe I’d make it. Days where I didn’t want to be on this earth anymore. Days where we were struggling so much financially that I cried for hours. Days when my friends picked me up. Days when I isolated those same friends because I was broken and felt ashamed. Days when what addiction did to my marriage slapped me in the face. Days when I was angry. Sad. Resentful. Ashamed. Lost. Confused. Days when I fell to my knees and begged for answers. Days when the panic was so heavy I couldn’t see anything else.⠀

But it also molded me, grew me, and started to heal me. In the last two weeks, even though I spent one of the horribly ill with the flu. I grew so much. I finally started to feel like I was finding all of me again. ⠀

I’m also eternally grateful for the women who held my hand through all of this. They know who they are and I wouldn’t be here without them. And for each of you as well. You might not realize this but this community, you guys, you gave me a reason to get up and keep coming back. ⠀
