KEEP OR TOSS: Toss! This was a $17 buy which I felt was already steep for the drugstore but it just didn’t live up to it’s hype. The applicator is useless, you can’t blend with it and it soaks up way more product than it lets out which was super annoying. As far as how it wore, not great. It broke down about 2-3 hours in and by the end of the wear test it had looked like it was melting off of my face which really isn’t something I’m used to with having dry skin.

KEEP OR TOSS: This one is one that I feel like you need to try for yourself. I love all things Maybelline usually but this was pretty mehhhhhh for me. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t awesome. Does that make sense? It was certainly full coverage and it wore ok. It just didn’t look great. It made me wish the Better Skin foundation was still around because that was awesome.

KEEP OR TOSS: Keep!! This was a great foundation if you even want to call it that. It was a moisturizer with great coverage. Covered redness and blemishes and moved with the skin as you wear it verse breaking up as your face moves. It definitely does what it says it does. If you love the It Cosmetics CC cream but find it to just not be enough, grab this, it’s the perfect addition to the family. I love them both in different ways but I can see how this would work well for those of us with redness or dryness looking for a bit more coverage and moisture.

FOUNDATION: Your Skin But Better™ CC+™ Cream with SPF 50+ – $38

KEEP OR TOSS: Keep! When I first tried this, they only went as light as their light shade and that didn’t really work for me. So when I grabbed fair I was excited to give it a try. It was a much better shade match and it worked really well. The coverage is decent, I wouldn’t actually call it full… I would say you could get a medium coverage out of it. It wears nice, even with dry skin you get a bit of a shine by the end of the day that’s easily handled with some translucent powder (like this one right here.. it’s my favorite).

FOUNDATION: Your Skin But Better™ CC+™ Illumination with SPF 50+ – $38

WHAT IT SAYS: This breakthrough color-correcting cream never creases or cracks and instantly camouflages skin imperfections including dark spots. Plus, it’s infused with an advanced anti-aging serum made of hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, niacin, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and vitamins A, B, C and E that work in harmony to diffuse the look of wrinkles, enhance skin brightness, minimize pores and give you a more radiant, supple and flawless-looking complexion.

KEEP OR TOSS: Toss! This isn’t just illuminating it’s legit full of shimmer/glitter. You can physically see the glitter on your face and I found that it really emphasized texture and my pores. A few IG followers told me they loved this but they tweaked it a bit. One used a matte powder to set it and one mixes half this and half the regular CC+ cream and they both said it worked really well at that point.

It creates a natural, moisturized and fresh look. With hydrating hyaluronic acid and improves the suppleness of skin over time.

KEEP OR TOSS: Keep! Seriously, keep this forever and ever. I actually have a few backups because I get worried when I fall in love with something that it will get discontinued. This is perfect for no-makeup makeup days. Or light makeup days or even glammy glam days. You can do so much with it. Your skin looks radiant and gorgeous all day.

FOUNDATION: Tarte Shape Tape Hydrating Foundation – $39

COVERAGE: Buildable FINISH: Luminous

WHAT IT SAYS: Provides buildable, long-wearing coverage in a skin-smoothing, weightless gel. The collagen & hyaluronic acid-packed formula continuously hydrates while helping to plump skin & refine pores, without creasing, caking or fading for 12 hours.

KEEP OR TOSS: Girl BYE! I returned this foundation after one use. It was the worst foundation formula I’ve ever used. There wasn’t a luminous finish, it was flat and matte. It wasn’t creamy and blendable like the cult favorite (and my favorite) Shape Tape concealer, it was just the worst. It was super heavy on the skin, for something hydrating it had no dewy/luminous finish. It settled into lines and wrinkles, it clung to dry patches, it looked fine for about 2 hours and by the 5-hour mark it looked like crap. It also smells, like chemical/paint like that does not go away. Even when you go to take it off, the scent comes back up. It got super cakey, moved and slid around. Just no.

FOUNDATION: EL Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick Radiant Makeup – $42

COVERAGE: Sheer to Medium Buildable FINISH: Radiant

WHAT IT SAYS: This makeup is a different formula than our original Double Wear Stay-in-Place liquid foundation. It is instantly hydrating and leaves skin with a radiant glow. All day 8-hour wear.

KEEP OR TOSS: Keep! Aside from the applicator, this foundation was fantastic. It blends super well, cuts out most redness on the first pass and once you start building it you get a medium coverage. It’s lightweight and was instantly hydrating on the skin. A beautiful dewy fresh-faced look. At the 3 hour mark, it still looked amazing and hadn’t changed from the first application. A bit of shine appeared around the 6-hour mark but again a touch up would fix it. This was an A+ for me.

FOUNDATION: Younique Mineral Touch Liquid Foundation

WHAT IT SAYS: Off to a smooth start with this ultra-thin, skin-perfecting liquid formula.

KEEP OR TOSS: Toss! This was another foundation that was pretty meh for me. It wasn’t the worst but wasn’t the best. They market it as full coverage but you definitely need to build it. They also say that it’s a thin formula but mine came out super thick even after shaking it forever. A tiny bit of this foundation goes a long way. The more product you use the more coverage you’re gonna get, it was lightweight and felt super soft on the skin. About two hours into the wear test it began clinging to dry patches which got progressively worse. It never fully dries down so when you touch your face or your face touches your skin there is a lot of product transfer. It started wearing down towards the end of the wear test. I did a poll on IG stories where I do all of my wear tests and they agreed, it was pretty meh. If you have normal skin, this would likely work for you. If you have combo/oily skin with powder you could use this. If you have dry skin, it definitely isn’t going to work for you, unfortunately.

FOUNDATION: L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation – $12.99

COVERAGE: Medium FINISH: All-Day Glow

Lightweight and creamy, L’Oral Paris’ Infallible Pro Glow Foundation is a long lasting foundation that goes on smooth with a glowing finish that lasts. The hydrating foundation has medium coverage and instantly hides imperfections for a clear complexion. This luminous foundation with SPF is ideal for normal to dry skin.

KEEP OR TOSS: Keep! This is one of my absolute favorite foundations of all time. It comes in second only to wet n wild Photo Focus. If you have dry skin, you need this in your life. The formula is liquidy and blends amazingly well. It immediately covers redness. 3 hours in and the foundation still looked glowy and dewy. 8 hours in there was very minimal wear down around where the glasses sit on my face. It looks just as awesome at the end of the night as it does when you first apply it.

FOUNDATION: L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Makeup – $10.99

COVERAGE: Light to Medium FINISH: Natural

WHAT IT SAYS: With patented color technology, L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Foundation precisely matches your skin’s tone and undertone and coordinates perfectly with True Match Powder, Blush, and Concealer. Formulated with Precise Match Technology to provide the most natural true-to-you coverage. The super blendable foundation contains SPF 19 to protect skin while providing light to medium coverage with a natural finish. With Vitamins A and C, wheat germ and grape fruit extract to keep your skin nourished, protected and healthy.

KEEP OR TOSS: Keep!  I love how the color technology basically just fits with and blends to your skin tone. It’s basically magic. There are 33 shades in total which is awesome. You get a sheer application that you can build up to cover redness or blemishes. A your skin but better look when you do light coverage. It doesn’t settle into lines or wrinkles but around the 6-hour mark I started to see some wear down. It felt great on the skin. If I were to grade this foundation it would be an A- for 8 hours of wear time.

FOUNDATION: Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation – $6.99

COVERAGE: Medium Buildable FINISH: Soft-Matte

WHAT IT SAYS: New Lasting Finish 25HR Breathable Foundation is Rimmel’s most lightweight long-lasting formula. It perfects your skin with medium buildable coverage whilst enriched with breathable skin technology that doesn’t clog pores. Moisturizes for up to 25HRS. With SPF 18.

KEEP OR TOSS: Keep! When I swatched this it oxidized almost immediately on my arm to at least a shade darker however it didn’t oxidize much if at all on the skin it got a bit warmer but not much. Usually, products that dry down matte aren’t the best for dry skin but this being moisturizing I was curious and it didn’t disappoint. It definitely cut out discoloration and some but not all of my redness, which is fine with me. If you have redness, you can color correct with this foundation and be good to go. I really enjoyed this foundation. We did get some shine around the 8/9 hour mark but again touch up with some powder and be good to go. It felt great on the skin.
